Yup, the thermal switch on the motor is tripping because of an overheated motor. This is the problem if you can't turn it back on right away and have to wait 10 minutes or so.

My whirlpool estate dryer just stopped running about 5 min after I started it. Checked outlet that is fine. Door switch fine. Timer ticks.

Is the inside of the drum very hot. My guess is over limit thermostat is reporting overheat. Check for lint build up in hoses or even birds nests.

Lg dryer fuse keeps blowing but the heating element and thermostat all have continuity

I have been using an LG domestic dryer in a commercial application (motel) for 5 years and the only problem has been a lint build up inside the dryer because of an improper vent installation. The problem is likely in the dryer drum motor, it runs for a short time heats up because of bad motor bearings, improper motor cooling or bad drum bearings (motor drives the drum) increased heat = increased amperage= blown fuse. Motor should go out on overload but it may blow a fuse first. Is the fuse in the electrical panel or in the dryer? Try turning the dryer drum by hand and check for resistance, there shouldn't be much. The motor needs to cool so pull the dryer panels apart and vacuum the inside first and make sure the motor and interior has been thoroughly cleaned. Try this for a quick fix first.

Disconnect dryer vent and run dryer. If runs/heats normally clean out your vent.

It's either the fuse, heating element, thermal cut-off or thermostat

Lgq9030pqo start dryer ,everything normal gas kicks on starts heating., heats for a couple of mins then cuts out doesnt come on again drum keeps on going everything else is normal

Typically - when this happens - the gas valve solenoid is failed, and needs replacement.

The flame sensor (thermocouple) may also be the culprit if it is failed - it will not tell the valve there is a flame present.

Check those out.

Cuts off makes noise

Sound like the dryer bearing or rollers are out. This would make it very hard for the dryer to start and run. You must pull the dryer drum out to access the parts. I'm sure you will see the problem right away once it is apart.

Dryer won't run right

The motor in your unit has to be replaced. The centrifical sw can't seem to keep the motor going. The shaft may spin freely, but once power is present the shaft locks up therefore your over amping the motor and it then trips the breaker. Since you already had the unit apart you will do fine replacing the motor. Good luck

Dryer motor

if the motor buzzes when you push start then it is a bad long as the drum turns freely by hand.
