Password Was Forgotten ¶ If you forget your Kurio log-in password, you will not be able to get past the lock screen. The only solution is to perform a factory reset. Performing a factory reset will erase everything on the Kurio and return it to exactly how it was when you took it out of the box. To perform a factory reset, unplug the Kurio and turn it off by holding the power button for 5 seconds until the screen displays "Power Off, Shutting Down..." Once the device is off, press and hold the volume down button and power button at the same time until the screen lights up with "KD Interactive." Release the power button, but continue to hold the volume down button until the "DROIDBOOT" screen appears. Then, navigate to the "RECOVERY" option and select it by pressing the power button. This will prompt a new menu, from here select "Wipe Data / Factory Reset." Your Kurio will go through a long restart phase and then welcome you to your new Kurio

Give the Kindle time to reboot. The Kindle will reboot within a minute or two. Be patient and give your device ample time to finish its reset.
There is some possibility that the Kindle will freeze as it reboots. This may be the case if your Kindle stays frozen on the reboot screen for more than ten minutes.
Charge the Kindle. If the device freezes during the reboot or does not respond to the reset at all, plug the charger in and allow your Kindle to charge for 30 minutes or more.
Make sure that your Kindle has enough time to complete a full charge.
Hold the power switch down again. After you finish charging the Kindle, slide the power switch and hold it down for another 20 seconds.
The reboot screen should appear again. Give the device a minute or two to reboot before checking it again. This should complete the reset.

If the iPad will not reboot using the standard "Hard Reboot" (holding the power button and home button until the iPad restarts.) then I would advise restoring the iPad using iTunes which will set it back to factory settings.
