Question about Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera

1 Answer

When I plug in my Canon EOS Rebel to the computer, it used to pop open with my pictures, now nothing happens and when I checked the Hardware section it shows that the computer is connected to a canon EOS but there is a yellow triangle with ! in it and no pictures are visible. I re-installed the Driver CD and checked online for updates with no resolution- any ideas how I can get my pictures to show on the computer again?

Help! How do I get the pictures from my Canon Rebel T3 onto my macbook air?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Depending on the version of the operating system, you can download most software (as well as manual, etc) from the manufacturer's web site at
