Re: Epson CX3810

The printer has new ink cartridges in it and new paper, but it will not print or even run the paper through.

The red and green lights are flashing continously and it won print

The lights continually flashing indicate a paper jam or the printer being out of ink. Check/clear any paper jam and verify the ink cartidge is set correctly.

Printer says paper is jammed but is lying flat. Turned it off and back on and paper ejected. I tried again but same thing happens. (Epson stylus)

sounds like you still have paper stuck in the rollers.
get a flashlight, and look carefully, teeth by teeth.

good luck

Epson RX520 - Paper jam - how do I open and get paper out? Restarting machine and pressing 'Clear' does not get it out.

*** I'll be more than happy to help you on that. just a clarification. .maybe its RX620, because there's no rx520.
anyways, trouble shooting goes like this...

turn off the printer first. lift the scanner, you should see the part where you install the inks, if you're there, check for paper jam or any foreign object, take it out then turn the printer back on. if paper jam is still showing, the printer is already having a hardware failure. i gues this printer is more than a year, if thats the case, it may be out of warranty for epson, bec, theyre warranty is for a year only,
good luck

Had a paper jam when cleared and turned back on keeps showing Error and lights flashing?

Two possibilities - First, the jam is not completely cleared. Check to make sure there are no small bits of paper blocking a sensor.

Second possibility. You don't say what model printer you have, but some need to be reset after a jam. Check your manual to see if your printer is one of them. If so, just follow the directions. Another option is simply to turn the printer off for about 30 seconds and then turn it back on. This does an automatic reset.

I've got an epson stylus c44ux printer. It recently had a paper jam and now the red light is on constantly. There seems to be no way to reset it. I've replaced both ink cartridges, cleared all paper from...

You may try to do the following:

1. Turn the printer off and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove any obstruction or any foreign material inside.
3. Check if the inks are clicked into place on their correct slot and and cartridge cover is closed properly.
4. Turn the printer on.

If same issue persists, it might be a hardware failure. Or you might want to contact Epson for further assistance and/or troubleshooting for that matter.

CX3810 printer will not print

Take out the cartridges from the printer, put them back.

Remove the printer completely from your computer. Reboot. Re-install the printer.

Try to print again.

It sounds like your print heads are shot.

"not ready to print" message

I just recently had the identical problem. Go to "start," click on "printers and faxes"; right-click on the icon (or copy for it) for your printer; select from the popup menu, "default printer." This will put a check mark by the printer icon, and possibly simultaneously remove the check mark from another icon that was a deadend. I encountered this problem when I replaced my paper-jammed epson stylus CX3810 inkjet printer with another almost identical printer that had been abandoned by an acquaintance. [He had abandoned it because his ink nozzles (except black ink) had clogged up. I was grateful for it despite the seemingly irreversibly clogged nozzles.] I think printer manufacturers should work on more user-friendly designs that allow easier repair of mechanical problems like paper jams!

Epson 3810

look in and around where the paper is fed into.there maybe a small piece of paper stuck somewhere inside. if you do see something, unplug the machine and try to pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. if you do get the obstruction out, try feeding the paper back in and see if it now works.
good luck.
