I am unable to login to my hp dv6000 notebook when i enter my password. even if i change or remove the password. i'm only able to go online using safe mode.so how do i reboot my computer and will i be able to save the files in my computer if i reboot?
I had the same problems with windows seven. All I do is just install the disk and do a system repair. Depending on the OS, it is not recommended to reboot without saving or backing up any files. Did you try a system restore? You can find out when this problem happened, go to that date, and create a restore point. Another is at the beginning, try pressing F8 and you'll see something like last known good configuration (your most recent settings that worked). Also the UAC (user account) on the OS (operating system) may need a password. It's located in the control panel. Sometimes a program affects the computers administrators settings example: cursor fx, which changes the S I D number, wipes out your administrator settings in the UAC and logs in as a guest. It requires a system repair disk to fix. Also it could be a windows genuine validation expiration and a WGA validation tool will take care of it. So you can check your updates in the tools menu.
