Get the car towed to a garage that has heat and allow the water to thaw out. Then, drain the cooling system since there is too much water and not enough antifreeze in it. Now is a good time to repair/replace the leaking radiator. Refill and bleed the cooling system with a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze. If you don't repair the radiator, keep some 50/50 mix available for topping off to prevent freeze-ups in future.

SOURCE: Two small holes in the bottome of radiator; it's leaking water.

THE OTHER HOLE is actually the drain hole when you open plug it comes out that hole. you should be able to get a new plug at any parts store

SOURCE: Car radiator has small hole in it from a rock...

If steam is coming out of it it is an very small hole.
You can take the radiator to a radiator repair shop and have the hole fixed if it is that small. They usually charge less than $50 for small core holes like that if they can be fixed.

Your other option is replacement which will be substantially more money.

SOURCE: put water into radiator pours out of overflow

Make sure your drain plug at the bottom of the radiator is tight and un damaged. The 2 aluminum lines are for your automatic transmission and should not be messed with.

SOURCE: water comes out of the over flow bottle(i checked the cap)

make sure you dont over fill the radiator bottle past max, something else to try is run the system with out the cap on for a few minutes at idle to expel any air pockets in your cooling system.

I've been adding water to my overflow tank due to radiator leak now everything froze overnight including all hoses are froze with ice in side hoses and radiator car started for second them cut off

Hi Darrell:
This is a not nice situation.
- If you're lucky you won't have too much damage.
- If you're not lucky there is possible damage from popped frost plugs, cracked block, broken water pump, ruined radiator.
- My recommendation.
- DO NOT TRY TO RUN ENGINE.
- Thaw out engine. Depending on how low the temperatute is you might be able to do this with a blanket over and light bulb or portable heater under. Be aware of fire hazard and act accordingly. Don't put the light or heater where thawing fluid will drain onto it.
- Inspect engine to determine extent of damage. It's OK to start it for a few seconds to make sure it's working. If you let it get hot you can ruin it.
- Plan on replacing (or repairing) the radiator and putting in the correct anti-freeze coolant.
Best of luck.

What is wrong with a saturn sl1 indicator says it is hot after running for 5 minutes

John sounds like your sensor may be bad. Next it could be your thermostat sticking use a temp gun and measure the temp of your radiator at the cap. Do not remove cap. Just take temp. If it is getting hot it should spit water out. Check to see if the electric fan is coming on the sensor to cut the fan on maybe bad or the fan. Hope this helps.

Had a leak in the ac ran out water

check for leaks, put fresh water/coolant into the radiator and overflow bottle after the engine and radiator has cooled so you don't get burned. hopefully the car will restart. remember that you can cool a car that is starting to overheat by running the heater in a pinch. It's not a fix, but an emergency measure.

Where do u put the water in on a colt? Can't find it?

A tank used for storing excess coolant; connected to the cooling system with a small-diameter overflow hose.

The coolant reservoir is the bottle, under the hood, that holds the radiator fluid. it is also known as a overflow bottle. When the car gets hot,the overflow bottle, releases steam to relive the pressure in the radiator. excess coolant is also stored here.

I have to keep putting water in my car

IF the leak solution was for the radiator then you may have holes in locations you are nit aware of or it may not be enough and you may need to have the radiator replaced. You may want toc heck the radiator cap if it still seals properly as steam may escape from it where it should be recycled back to the cooling system. Check the clamps of the hose and if there are water leaks from the engine which may indicate bad water pump. If you have white smoke coming out of the exhaust you may also have to have the head gasket checked out as you may be burning coolant.

Where is termostat in hyundai elantra

It is not likely the thermostat, because the thermostat is showing that it is overheating,so it is working, you must have a coolant leak somewhere. You will have to find coolant leak. Car is overheating because it is low on coolant

Overflow losing coolant

this is an overflow tube.
have you checked the radiator itself to see if it is low? need to do this only when engine cool.
if radiator is low and you just add to bottle it will **** it all out until radiator is filled properly.
