My subwoofers cut out

Ok i have a 1000 watt crunch powerzone pzi2250 amplifier and 2 12 inch polk audio db212-2 subs i had them installed a little over a year ago and they workerd fine untill about a month ago when i was driving they just cut out. Well i replaced the fuse up near the battery then they worked fin untill about 3 days ago i finally replaced the fuse again today and again they worked as i was adjusting the bass and stuff on the deck they just shutt off again i checked all the wires all have good connection good ground no exposed wires at all i dont know what is going on i dont think im blowing fuses like that i mean the amp i got on sale for 100 bucks if somebody can help me i would apreciate it

    allso i forgot to add that when i turn my car on the word crunch lights up across the top but the green light indicating its on lights up but neither does the red light for protect!

You are most likey running too much power from the amp to the speakers.. you might want to try just notching the bass down a notch or 2.. just enough that the bass will hit

There may be an impedance mismatch between the two. If the amplifier "sees" a load impedance of 2 ohms or less, for example, the fuse(s) will open to protect the output stage from failure.

Have jvc rx-2020v receiver with mono rca out for sub and trying to hook it up with polk audio rm 1000 w sub woofer with +/- terminals for both left ane right channels plus blue terminal(?). How to?
Your Polk Audio subwoofer is a passive sub and your JVC mono output is for connection to a powered sub. If the JVC does not have an amplified output for a passive sub, you'll either need to get an amplified sub, a different receiver, or buy a dedicated mono subwoofer amplifier.

Whats the rateing on the polk 10 inch sub woofer
Hello dread2477,

The Polk Audio db1040 is a single voice coil 4ohm subwoofer. The db1040DVC is dual voice coil with 4ohm coils which can be wired in parallel for a 2ohm load, or in series for an 8ohm load. They are practically the same sub. The RMS power range is 50-270 watts, with a maximum peak power of 540 watts.

Power cutting on and off
had a similar problem with an 800 watt legacy. remounted it in a cooler place away from the speakerbox, no more problems it would overheat and shut itself down until it cooled

Amp will not power on at all all of a sudden, fuses look fine

You do not say if there are any indications or errors displayed.

I'd recommend you follow the troubleshooting steps here starting at Step 2 (B+ and Remote Voltage:). This should tell you if there's a problem in the wiring or if the amp itself has failed.

Cuts out at higher volume
Your amp might now have enough power to push the subs or you need to get a better amp kit that will deliver the power the amp needs to operate at a high spl lvl

Check the outputs on the stereo. Maybe there's no audio signal going to the amp.
