Sounds like you are trying to play a game that is not authorized on your system. If you downloaded a game from a website, it won't ever work. Only games downloaded from the PlayStation Store will be activated for your system. The activation of a game is automatic - it happens when you download a game from the Store.

The game is designed to play on the genune operating system and it needs latest updates .so you have to activate it . There would be no problem in activating if your operating system is genune.

You must make sure your PS3 is activated for your game DL's. Here is how to do it. At the XMB, sign in to PSN. When you do, a tab will open up that says account management. Scroll down to System activation. There, you can select to activate/deactivate your system and PSP for games and DLC content.

Psp error code 8010850f when trying to play demo games

From TIPS section:

How to fix error code "8010850f" on your PSP:

Error code "8010850f" sometimes appeared when you downloaded certain games on your PSP. It will requires you to activate the system to use the content and could only work when activated through PSN. Here are some tips and tricks on how to fix this error.

Option 1: Go to account management by signing in to PSN on your PSP. Once under account management go to activation/activate - games then activate the PSP.

Option 2: Connect your PSP to your PS3 using a USB. Then go to [Accountmanagement] - [activate/deactivate] - [PSP] - [games].

After you processed either of the 2 options you can now play your games with no interruption.

I have a PSP Go. whenever i try to open a game it tells me to activate system 8010850F. how do i activate it?

Found a possible solution on some other forums

For games the "to use this content, you must activate the system (8010850F)" message can be removed, and access to your downloaded content allowed, by either

1. signing in to PSN on your PSP then selecting account management > activate/ deactivate > games

or

2. connecting the PSP to your PS3 bia USB and signing in then selecting account management > activate/ deactivate > psp > games

I got it from this thread http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Technical-Support-Help-Advice/PSP-quot-to-use-this-content-you-must-activate-the-system/m-p/9991383

The main thing is to make sure everyone who uses your PSP knows not to turn it off when it is accessing the memory card or UMD

I bought a PSP GO with Free Games, But when I tried to play the game. it says: To use this content, you must activate the system..

If using PS Store on PSP, sign in to PSN, then go to Account Management, and there should be something that says "Activate/Deactivate system".
If using Media Go!, then follow the similar steps.

I believe it should go into the game150 folder. Otherwise you may have made an error in the backup process. Download unlimited, properly formatted games for psp at www.everything4psp.com they also have game backup software. Support Rich
