LOW / NO BATTERY ALARM
The Low/No battery alarm will activate when the
power level of the battery becomes low. The display
will alternate between "b" (Battery, See figure 8) and
the cabinet temperature, the red alarm light will
become illuminated and the control panel will beep
every five seconds. To stop the audible alarm (beep),
press the "ALARM RESET" button. The red alarm
light will remain on and the display will continue to
flash until a new battery is installed. This same alarm
will activate if there is no battery installed

I understand that the temperature alarm light is on for your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU21M8CW. This feature is designed to provide a warning of a possible malfunction. If the temperature of the food rises to a level unsafe for long-term storage, the buzzer will sound. The red light, if equipped, will also glow. The Temp Alarm feature operates on household electricity. If power fails, the alarm will not function. An ON/OFF switch allows you to deactivate the Temp Alarm when not wanted. Your freezer is shipped with the Temp Alarm in the OFF position. After your freezer has run approximately 4 hours, the red light, if equipped, will go off. Then you may activate the Temp Alarm without the alarm sounding. Press the ON switch to activate the Temp Alarm. To deactivate, press the OFF switch. If the alarm sounds, be sure freezer is properly leveled, and the door closes freely, and seals properly. If you suspect a technical malfunction, call an authorized servicer immediately. Under normal operating conditions, the internal
temperature of the freezer will ensure the longterm
conservation of the stored food.
When such temperature rises above a certain
level (-12 °C), the appliance will trigger an
acoustic and light alarm. The light alarm is a
blink red light (Red Alarm Indicator Light), while
the acoustic alarm is an intermittent sound.
You can stop the acoustic alarm by pressing
the Acoustic Signal Stop Switch once.
When switching on the freezer for the first
time, the Red Alarm Indicator Light will
blink until the internal temperature has reached
a level required for the safe conservation of frozen
food.

Starting the Appliance
Insert the plug into the wall socket. The green pilot light will illuminate to show that the appliance is switched on. The red alarm light will also illuminate until the freezer reaches the correct temperature.

Alarm Light
The red alarm light will illuminate when the temperature in the freezer is higher than the thermostat setting. This alarm light will illuminate if:
- The appliance has just been started.
- Fresh food has been put in the freezer.
- The lid has been left open, opened frequently or open for too long.
The red light will go out when the freezer has returned to the correct temperature

You did not specify which lights are on?

• The green pilot light will illuminate to show that the appliance is switched on.
• The red alarm light will also illuminate until the freezer
  reaches the correct temperature.
• If you press the SUPER button than you start fast freeze function and yellow light will illuminate.

I assume that the freezer is on and the green light is illuminated. This means that the freezer is on and energized.
Also, if freezer does not cooling, means that did not achieve the set temperature should be illuminated the red light (alarm).

Set the thermostat for example in position 4th and after that compressor should be start.
If compressor running but not cooling, defective is the system which circulates gas.
If compressor does not start, then is faulty thermostat, compressor or the wiring.

Kenmore Frostless Upright freezer model# 23971. The alarm sounded, all contents in freezer is frozen solid. We turned the alarm off, but the red light continues to blink. How do you reset the alarm and stop the red light from flashing? It has been 3 days now and every time we have check to see if the contents has started to defrost, there is no signs of defrosting, everything inside of the freezer remains frozen solid.

The alarm may be malfunctioning or it may be warning you of low temperature.
You can go to any hard ware store and buy a refrigerator thermometer and ask them if it can go into a freezer too!It can, But ask anyway!

If it is cold enough then it is a faulty alarm going off.

Your freezer may be equipped with an alarm.
Here is some information that may help you find it and turn it off if you wish

you have a refrigeration issue partner let her go 16 yrs. is good service you can replace it for 3 to 5 hundred the repair will be that IF you can find someone with the r-12. don't go for a top it off and go deal the food you lose is to expensive for that to be economical.

The temp sensor for the over temp alarm is probably maifunctioning if you are sure that the temp isnt rising
