Hi,..

If your screen goes black add no display, you need to open the mainboard and check the parts specially the processor, i think the processor overheat, that causes no screen become black, you need to remove and clean, after that you put it back, just put a thermal paste in the back of your processor, so that the heat is absorbed,

Good luck !!!

Can you reach BIOS?
If you can, click the "Restore to factory default" options. And try again. If not your screen maybe buggered.
Good luck.

How do i reboot dell Inspiron 660 with hotkeys

This is nothing to do with reboot keys, but the answer is CTRL+ALT+DEL

Your system has a Windows file corruption error and is not booting properly, the causes can be many so someone needs to look at it to try and fix it but it might require a re-install of Windows. Back up any precious files before a reinstall or you will lose them with a new install of Windows.

What would cause my screen to go black and then can't reboot 8.1 on dell pc??

If this is a Laptop, remove battery, Plug in charger to PC and then try to reboot. A bad battery will suck all the power from charger and won't allow the computer to have enough power to boot.

Turn on acer laptop and it goes to black screen that says no bootable device

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

reboot your computer when the screen goes black just after your bios screen and just before the windows loading page press F8
select safe mode once in safemode select system recovery in help and support, and restore your computer to a previous time.
take it back about 2 weeks and reboot. that should do it.

One till is frozen when i reboot while the othere has a plane white screen, any ideas????

Hello

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

It could be just a loose connector on the back of the computer.

It could also be malicious software. Scan the computer with a virus checker.

Otherwise, it could be either the monitor or the video card in the computer.

Try the following to find out which:

- Swap monitors with another compatible computer, and see if the trouble stays with the computer, or goes with the monitor. If the trouble stays, replace the video card. If the trouble goes, replace the monitor or have it repaired.

- Arrange the power connections so the monitor stays on when you shut down the system. If the trouble goes away when you reboot, then you need a new video card (much cheaper than a monitor).

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

When I turn on my PC, it starts normally. After

Screen Goes Black After Splash Screen

This sounds like a driver may have been updated, changed or has become corrupt, either after a bad update or virus/malware attack. Reboot the computer in safe mode with networking…when the computer reboots, open the control panel > device manager (in XP the device manager is in the system folder) > scroll to the display adapter. Right click on the adapter and roll-back the driver. Click yes and apply if necessary. Reboot the computer, it should reboot and display with no issue. It may ask (if you are automatically connected to the internet) if it can search windows update for a fresh driver….since you know what to do in case of a failed update, click yes and get a fresh driver. I would then do a complete virus and anti-malware scan to make sure the system is clean.
