I took the the platter off the turntable and discovered it is cheap molded plastic. I was experiencing significant amounts of wow and flutter which was more noticable in the mid range frequencies. It rendered the whole thing useless. My solution was to increase the mass of the platter (thus increasing it's angular momentum) by layering Plastacine inside the molded inside base. The more you use the less the wow and flutter will be. My old turntable's platter weighed the same as the whole USB turntable! Also make sure that the drive belt is free from grease - I did find a wee bit.

A) "dirty" main power switch, comes from sparking when power switch has been used a lot (happens also with some CD/DVD players - makes them loose some power - consequently, focus and/or spindle will not work properly). Try cleaning it up or replacing it (bypassing it will tell you if the switch is really the problem).

b) bad contact on the speed control slider (try moving it while slightly pressing it downwards, see if there is any change, if there is, have it cleaned up or replaced)

c) a problem with electronic speed control, possibly a loose solder connection or a bad capacitor somewhere in the speed control circuitry. If the circuit has fuses in it check if they are all ok. I once had a problem with a turntable that had a fuse "partially" blown (people were using the turntable a lot for "scratching" which overheated the fuse but hadn't blown it out, yet it changed in resistance from zero ohms to a few hundred ohms - the turntable began to **** and the speed was changing).

d) none of the above, it could be something else that i can't think of right now

hope ya get it workin'

regards

I am new in to djaying and i bought a stanton mc 203 which s still in ood condition but my problem is the speed on the right cd keeps n changing time and again unlike on the left cd and this sometimes...

well the cd speed problem is about the components been under alot of use, they get worse with time. I'm not sure I think you should be able to lock the speeds somehow.

Speed increases dramatically when trying to increase slowly on CardioZone Fast Track Elite II

This could be cused by the the display cover you touch to control the functions pressing on the touch switch array just under it. Carefully remove this. it is held on by adhesive and see if the symptom goes away. If it does, look for any dents on the cover. I have worked with these type of switches for nearly 20 years and they can be problematic. The other possibility is the mechanical switches you use to increase/decrease speed or tilt. They plug in seperately and you can disconnect them to see if they are causing the problem.

HI Please tell me how the fan in the front of the engine should work, we had the fan switch replaced when we start the car the fan turns faster before it was slower is this correct, is this how it is...

The fan speeds are control by th ECM. The fans speeds are determined by the temperture and load on the engine. And when you use the A/C. Sometimes you will see them at a low speed , sometimes fast. This is normal.

Car makes a low pitch sound starting at 30mph & getting louder as speed increases. 1999 Buick Park Avenue Ultra w/ 3.8liter.

Check for uneven tire wear, make sure the wheels are properly balanced, check for proper tire inflation.
Low pitched noise that increases with speed is related to tires, wheel bearings, etc. Start with the easy and cheap remedies first... tire inflation, wear etc.

I installed new intake monifold gaskets because the bottom one was sucking air in and my 1996 dodge intrepid 3.5 liter engine would run at 2300 RPM'S. After changing the gaskets the car is hard to start...

Take it to bits again and check the gasket you put on and all the other gaskets as it still sounds like you have air sucking and a blockage somewhere else so check out all parts you done and the parts you dident

Car droning noise

While you are driving, get up to roughly 40 MPH on a road with little or no traffic. Once at this speed, whip the steering wheel left and right as if you were making rapid lane changes. If you notice a change in the pitch or intensity of the sound, it is quite likely that you have a pending wheel bearing failure. The reason that the change will be noticed is because there is a rapid change in load placed on the bearings during lateral moves. Outside of the, the tires alone, can be quite noisy. I drive an old 1981 Mercedes 300TD wagon. I never realized how much road noise was coming from my tires until I replaced them with new ones!
