I have put in two or three different memory cards and they are all saying full. I have tried deleting the pictures off using my computer, but nothing is working.

My flip camera says its empty but when I try to record it says its full??

Your memory card may think it's full if you've been deleting pics from it when it's in your PC and not in the camera.

If you've offloaded all the pics you want to from your memory card, put it back in your camera and "reformat" the card - there should be instructions how to do this in your camera manual. (If you've misplaced your manual you can likely find an online version on the website of your camera manufacturer). Hopefully this will fix your problem.

From now on, (even if you have to buy a new memory card), don't do any editing or deleting of pics directly on the memory media while it is in your PC (or Mac). Offload your pics to a file of their own on the PC (you can edit pics from that file). Then put the memory card back into the camera, verify that you did indeed successfully offload the pics to the PC (with the media card out of the PC), then delete the pics from the card while it's in the camera.

Reformat the memory card periodically (in the camera) after you've offloaded your pics (reformatting will erase all pics so you've gotta be sure you captured them elsewhere) to maintain the 'health' & full functionality of your memory card.

Memory full but no memory card in why is that?

Sounds like the internal memory, which is 16mb flash memory is full, the sd card that you can insert and use to take pictures on is an expansion of the internal memory. Trying moving those pictures or video to your pc or deleting them if you dont need them and that should take care of the problem. I hope this helps.

I need help with my memory, it says full memory but theres no memory card.

That's why ist says so. According to the manual, there is an internal memory. (I don't seem to be able to put pictures there.) Anyway, since the onboard memory does not seem to exist, the camera has no place to write the image to. Hence, it displays the message "memory full", which is easiest.

Try using an SD Card.

Memory is full

You can only use a 2GB SD card. It is in the manual. I'm not sure on dvd.

Seems like its time to flush the contents of the memory card of camcorder to a computer.
There's a limited amount of memory in every memory card. After constant recording, the memory  gets full and the recorded stuff needs to be either deleted or flushed (uploaded to a computer) to make room for newly recorded stuff.

Unless you have a blank memory card, your problem should be solved by the above mentioned idea.

DC400 Screen only showing slanted multicolorlines

No this is clearly a CCD sensor problem ( CCD generates image in v-cams and still digital cameras ) if the sensor is outputting too much noise then your image will be distorted just like yours is. If the sensor is outputting nothing then camera shows blank screen ( also notice that with this problem you can playback OK ). Replace CCD block.

Can't get mp3 to work

Put the SD card into your computer using a different source or hook it up with the camera. It will show as a new drive and you will be able to see whats there and add or remove stuff. Try to play a song off the SD card while looking at it in your computer, right click the song and tell it to play using windows media player. If this works then the cam should also. Try head phones using the plug in jack.

Little LCD view screen only shows slanted blocks of multicolors after power on ??? :( I really loved this little camera/camcorder and used it a lot. Daily in fact, packed it around with me everywhere. (Camera is worthless if not with you!). The view screen just will not go into normal mode after powering on and has only just about came back to normal only once but was slanted like the multicolor blocks and didn't zoom or take pictures or have menu working or anything and when re-powered up was back to the blocks. These blocks do have zoom, (seeing little bar move up and down not the blocks getting changed around), and no pictures with menu working but also seams to be stuck in camera mode only and not switching to other things like normal. Did just once also yesterday after not touched for a few months power up to a half white and half black screen with white on right side and black on left side this also will not zoom or take pictures or have menu working. This only lasted about a few minutes and back to multi-blocks. Today I've opened it up and pushed on all the connections to make sure they are fully seated and not knowing about screws under bottom model number sticker I've busted a few more plastic clips inside, a bit like the busted ones that used to hold battery/card door closed long ago. Thats when this all started, when I super glued, (glue job was done very well with out any extra getting anyplace else!), a tiny plastic clip chunk back into place trying to not have to have the camera held together with rubber bands anymore. I'd been holding the door closed with rubber bands for a year or so. Afet the neck strap broke and camera started to get dropped a lot the little locking closed clips started to bust and only way to keep the door closed was rubber bands luck. I really miss this and wanted to figure out a fix. Would an old battery with fewer AmpHr's or maybe a bit lower voltage do something like this ????????? I thought the battery was acting up a bit before this started. THANKS
