How can we remove write protection in sony dscw320 digital camera

I'm going to assume you mean the "protect" function in the camera, rather than the whole-card "lock" function. I don't think there's a single manufacturer that makes this clear. But let me tell you their little secret... whatever you did to protect it - do it again. It's a toggle function! They wouldn't want to put "protect/unprotect" in the menu system instead of just "protect", it might look 'cluttered'. Of course, it might be more useful too. I just dug out my own Sony camera, and it's easy enough to find; be in playback mode on the picture in question, press 'menu' and scroll to the 'protect' function.

How to unlock a picture

Go to the playback menu and select it (you may have to adjust the circular option know to get to the playback menu). Once there, scroll to the picture(s) that are locked by using the sideways selection arrow buttons. Then select the up or down arrows, which will lock or unlock your picture. You can also erase any locked pictures, in case you want to, by formatting the xD card. Hope this helps.

Picture has a sideways "key" on it and won't erase. I have an Olympus FE-210, how do I get rid of the "key" and am then able to erase the picture?

On page 22 of your user manual it talks about protecting images. Looks like you go to playback menu use the arrow keys to select the locked image - then press up or down arrow to remove the key symbol fromt he image by selecting ON or OFF.

If your pic is in the locked mode (Green Key Icon). Bring up picture. Press menu. Press (Playback Menu) and hit OK. Press OK again and it should bring up the pic with option of off or on. Hit off to unlock and you should be able to delete the pic.

Write Protect

I don't know if You have all the literature for Your camera, Olympus usually puts out a short version, and a more detailed one. I am not familar with the 390, suspect some setting is incorrect. Have You tried leaving the batteries out long enough for it to return to defaults? Give it several hours, see what it does.

Panorama picture

You can easily make panorama pictures with your D-390 by “stitching” together multiple pictures. First, activate the panorama mode on the camera by selecting Mode Menu - Camera - Panorama. Take your pictures while making sure to overlap the edges of the images. Download your pictures to a computer and then use the “Panorama” function in Camedia Master to stitch them together. For more detailed information, please refer to the camera documentation.
