The brand is the most important thing in this question if its an old tool then sometimes only the ball ball bearing can be damaged by the big grinders but in moast cases the little Chinese tools are builded with lightweight metal soft gears that are lubricated with amblygon or renolit grease and sometimes its easy to get spare parts, but depends on the brand and its models budget line or professional.
Sometimes there are cone wheel crown wheel sets to get for not much money , and sometimes if there is no separate cone on the armature made for replace then its made for only buying an other tool it useless to repair it.

My Toyota 2004 4zz crankcase was stolen.. i tried another crankcase but crankshaft refused to turn, did line bore and still not turning. Any suggestions

Lay the shaft on the bearings without the caps, check the free play on the mains thrust bearing, the shaft should spin freely , now fit the main bearing caps , working from the center out tighten the caps one at a time to 10 ft lbs turning the shaft to make sure it is still free to spin, a rear main rope seal can cause problems if not fitted right, if the shaft locks up at the 10 ft lb settings the shaft could be bent or the wrong size bearings are fitted.

I checked the motor coupling, what I found is oil in the area, the coupler...

This advice is for Whirlpool manufactured direct-drive TOP LOADING washers with a no-spin problem. This includes Kenmore, Roper, Estate, and certain Kitchenaid, Kelvinator and Maytag models. If in doubt, please include your MODEL NUMBER when posting questions.

The most common source of a no spin problem can either be attributed to a broken motor coupling, or a lid switch malfunction.

MOTOR COUPLING:

If the washer will fill and drain, but won't agitate or spin, you may have a broken motor coupling. The noise of the motor engaging, lack of agitation and ability to still drain are the usual symptoms. This is a common fail item with this model washer through normal wear and tear. Newer versions of the coupler are more resilient and resist breaking. The following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574231-replacing_a_motor_coupling

The motor coupling is located between the drive motor and the transmission and takes the place of a drive belt. This configuration is known as a "direct-drive" system. They do wear out and can break. The replacement part number is included in the link I provided and is an improved upgraded coupling that is more resilient. It should last longer. If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

A replacement coupler can be purchased for about $10 - $15. The part number is included in the link provided above.

LID SWITCH:

If the washer fills and doesn't do anything, or stops right after the wash cycle and won't advance to the rinse cycle, this is commonly caused by a lid switch malfunction. The washer usually will NOT drain either. The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug. If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3557193-replacing_a_lid_switch

On some models, the lid switch is located under the top casing by one of the lid hinges. You will know if you if you have this type of switch, because It does not have a lid strike and the small hole on the right hand side of the wash tub will not be present. This switch is actuated (toggled) by a rod on the lid hinge. With this type of switch, if you locate it and it can be toggled by hand, you may only need to adjust the actuator by bending it slightly. The average price for a replacement lid switch is $20 - $30.

Replacement parts can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

I have found these sites to be reputable and provide great service. Prices differ between them, so shop and compare. If you do not wish to order parts on line, look up the part numbers on the Sears site and take them to your nearest appliance parts retailer. These parts are commonly found in their in-store inventory.

REVIEW:

Take note of your symptoms:

1. Washer fills, may or may not agitate, will not advance to the rinse cycle, and will NOT drain - LID SWITCH.

2. Washer fills, does NOT agitate or spin, but WILL drain - MOTOR COUPLING.

If you still have questions, please let me know. I hope this information is helpful.

CDP cx355 cd doesn't spin

You can clean the lens with a small amount of windex and put a little oil like 3 and 1 oil on the spindle motor shaft and on the sled rails. Good luck !

Whirlpool duet mod#ghw9160pwo washer shakes the whole house during spin cycle. shocks look good, springs look good and adjustable feet are tight and on floor. the washer is level and i get no alarm...

Unit probably has bad main shaft and bearings. Worn bearings will cause excessive shaking on spin cycle. The shaft, bearings and seal will have to be replaced. Also if you grab the tub by the top and shake it up and down, it will have a little play in it. That will confirm bad tub shaft bearings. It's a pretty big job for a DIY.

My timeing is set but my water pump is not working i took the piece out the spark pug wire cables go to out when change the rear main seal when i put that piece the spark pug wire cables back the water was...

your waterpump is belt driven....if your belt is on correctly and the pump is still good it will work. the belt spins the pully, the pulley spins the shaft, and the shaft spins the impeller. the impeller "pumps" the water through the motor. I would loosen the belt and see how much play there is in the shaft of the pump. the old grab and wiggle approach. if it moves a lot then it needs replacing.

Hi,
Please put few drops of WD-40 on spindle motor shaft that sound not spin smoothly.
Spindle motor is located in middle of dvd mechanism that holds and spins disc.
If that does not solve your problem, replace optical block.
Let me know if you need optical block part number.
Thanks.

The trimmer head will not spin under power

The drive shaft is not set all the way into position. You will have to take the front casing off, as well as the lower part of the shaft, and work it into position that way. You may have to play with it a little bit.

No spin cycle

when it does it only in the spin cycle:
Either bearing or motor.
Best thing to do is: Open the back up and put it in a regular cycle. See if the back of the drum has a lot of play.
take off the belt and feel if there is a lot of play in the shaft of the drum. If not and it moves freely with no grinding sound it is your motor.

LD65EL Dehumidifier rumbles and has poor air flow

Sounds like the bearings have failed in the fan motor, & the rotor is rubbing on the stator. You mentioned end play in the shaft, check for cross play. There should be no perceptable cross play, any found indicates a need for a new motor.
