How do i bypass the heater core on my 2001 gmc jimmy?

Check the heater hose sizes. Buy a connector to put the hoses together and hose clamps. Cut the hoses, insert the connector, and tighten the clamps.

If you just want to stop the coolant flow, go to any parts house and buy either a heater hose shut off valve (cut the hose, insert the valve, and install hose clamps) or buy an external hose shutoff that clamps the hose shut stopping flow.

I fix an oil leak and it reappears about 15000kms later. One of the leaks is a o ring for the distributor coils that attaches to the block. To fix it i clean it very well and use delco silicon and then put...

if the "O" ring leaks always replace it with a new one
if you feel that you have to use silicon sealer , use locktite red and only in the o ring grooves as it is oil and heat resistant but sealer should not be necessary as the sealing action is at the o ring

Changing door skin for front passenger side door for Honda Pilot 2006

The skin is only spot welded in a few spots other then that is just a sealer all around the skin holding it and protecting it at the seam.
Remove the door and inner panel.
Drilled out the few spot welds.
Wire wheeled the exposed sealer around skin on the inside door jamb.
Use scraper to slowly work the folded edge up 90 degrees.(anything slim and small would work)
(With the old one you could just grind the edge off.)
Carefully pulled skin off.
Few minutes of dolly and hammering around the now new door skin lip to create a perfect 90 degree shape all around with the edge just peeled up.
Apply sealant to new door shell edge.
Slide skin on and in exact location needed.
Clamp skin all the way around.
Remove a few clams on one side, start hammer and dolling extra lip back around the shell lip, when done put clamps back on, and keep going down the line in this order.
Let clams sit as long as the sealer you have used suggests.
Reinstall door. Read more at http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2474146&ktrack=kcplink

How to change thermostat

Hello Friend:

Your Thermastat is located in a Dome Shaped Housing, just take your hand put it on upper radiator hose and follow it to the engine ,you'll run into a hose clamp around the hose thats holding it on the Thermastat Housing.

Make sure your car is cold, then put a pan underneath vehicle below the thermastat housing,You'll loose a Little Coolant ,So this Way you can catch it.

Just Loosen the Rad. Hose Clamp and Pull off the Hose from the Thermastat Housing. Then you'll have a couple bolts holding on the Housing,Remove the Bolts and The Housing should be FREE to come off.If its a Little Stubborn ,Lightly Tap on It with a Plastic or Rubber Hammer a nd it will come off.Your Thermastat is under the Housing.

After off Clean Both Surfaces on the Housing remove All the Old Gasket material and Gasket Sealer .Then just put your new thermastat housing in with the Spring part facing Up.

Put Gasket Sealer on The Thermastat Housing and Put new Gasket on and Line up your Bolts Holes.

And Also piut a Small bead og Gasket Sealer on The Engines Surface. Tighten Down Good and Snug ,But Don't Over Tighten.

Put the Hose back on Tighten Clamp and Fill Radiator Back up to Top.

Hello! I change the rubber sealer to my Bialetti 12 cup yesterday and since then the water stays in the bottom and does not rise to the top. The sealer is properly put in. I have not done anything...

This happened to me, too....the gasket needs to be broken in so that it seals properly, which will happen once it's been used several times. In the meantime, just tighten the pot together extra tight and that will help to seal the gasket properly. After several uses, you won't have to tighten it so much and can go back to how you've always done it. I hope this helps!!

2003 Toy Tacoma transmission pan have a gasket

There is a gasket supplied when you buy the transmission filter for all transmissions that your vehicle would have came with. You don't want to be using that stuff on a transmission pan, as a replacement for a gasket. I would wonder if the filter was changed?

Roof of cab repair 1997 F-150

those strips are called the ditches, where the panels are joined together. The material is supposed to stay soft. Under the sealer are spot welds where the panels are welded together.

Sealers
In addition to repairing the weld area, proper sealing of the joints is essential to a quality repair. Sealers are intended to prevent wind noise, water, dust and exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle and also perform as anti-corrosion barriers. Sealers need to be applied to such areas as door and rear compartment lid hem flanges, wheelhouse, quarter outer, floor, cowl, roof and various other panel-to-panel attaching points. The following joint sealers are recommended for use depending upon the application:
  • Brushable Seam Sealer - A sealer intended to restore the original brushed seam look. It is used to seal lap joints in sheet metal that are spot welded, such as on floorpans, cowls, trunk seams, etc.
  • Joint and Seam Sealer - A firm setting but flexible sealer for interior and exterior joints and seams.
  • Drip-Check Sealer - A heavy bodied sealer designed for use on exposed seams.
Sealers should remain flexible after curing and must be paintable. Follow the manufacturer's directions for use of materials selected.
Any damage to originally sealed joints should be corrected by resealing. Along with attaching points of new panels, open joints which require bridging of sealer to close a gap should be sealed using a heavy-bodied sealer.

Convertible top has came away in the rear under the back glass

I have had some success using a black urethane sealer made for setting windshields and weatherstrip. It is available in small or larger tubes at auto stores. I cleaned the surfaces well with a solvent, applied sealer to both surfaces, waited for 5 minutes and put them together. I weighed it down with some bricks and made sure I did it on a very warm day.
