Unit will not cool. Brand new last summer. Only

Unit will not cool. Brand new last summer. Only used once. Has sufficient power but compressor will not kick in. When it tries to kick in it drags the generator down. Could it be the thermistor or the overload protector? Or the capacitor? But the fan runs.

You need to try this without the generator in the mix. I suspect a problem with either the amperage supplied by the generator or the wiring from the generator to the ac. Can you hook land line power directly to the ac unit with either a very short 12ga extension or better yet a 10ga?

I have a panasonic split system in the kids bedroom its an ECONAVI indoor unit is CS-E9NKR we have not used this A/C since last summer, now the compressor will not start, only the indoor unit operates

Typically on a mini split the outdoor unit is powered and the indoor unit gets its power from the outdoor unit. If the unit is a year old you might have lost your charge. Look at the connections at the indoor unit and outdoor unit. You will typically see oil or a dirty area on your copper were there is a leak.

I have RUUD furnace with build in coil for air conditioner and Weather King compressor outside of my condo. ALL EQUIPMENT IS 4 YEARS OLD I didn't have any problem with heat at winter, but in summe

When you remove the panel to the unit it turns off the power to it. The reinstalling the panel will reconnect power and allow the unit to reset. So the cheapest and easiest thing you can try is to replace the thermostat. Make sure you see how many wires you have connected to your existing tstat and buy near the same thing. It's possible that the tstat is acting up, not allowing the unit to cool when the temp demands. And turning off power is resetting the tstat as well as the unit. It will be hard to troubleshoot with the info provided so a new tstat will be worth a shot. Hope this helps!

Sharp CV-P12Px not cooling

Sounds like an issue with the compressor. Have a service technician test the compressor.

I installed a fujitsu asu24c1 unit in my garage a few years ago. I used it for one summer, didn't turn it on last summer and when I turned it on this year it wouldn't cool. I have troubleshooted...

With the limited information i would suggest the following:
Check to see if the outdoor unit is running.
If the outdoor unit is running, grab the large copper line coming out of it and see if it is cool.
If the fan outside is running and the line is not cool then the compressor is not running or the system has lost its refrigerant charge.
Check these things and repost for a more complete answer.
Hope this helps.

My Sunbeam air conditioner has always flipped the breakers in my house (old wiring), but it worked fine for two summers and then sat last summer. This summer it blows the breaker constantly and in the...

This is a good question to ask. 1. if a unit trippes a breaker its for 2 reasons. A. to protect the wiring from catching fire . B. to protect you from electrical contact with ashort condition. Before you buy a new unit I would recommend you fix the wiring as bad siring is ******* the unit and costly to operate due to load resistance. Also replace any breakers that are unsed to support this unit. Brealers go bad esp if they have been problematic in the past. I am not certain as to the size of the unit you have now but if it cooled the room well then replace it with a match or a bit bigger unit.
As to why it tripps the breaker now? could be a couple thing Bad wiring like you state. weak breakers as I pointed out. or a bad compressor or fans. Or in my view its most like a combo of all the above. Hope this helps let me know.. Jon

I replaced a/c condensor last summer and everything was working fine now today no a/c

You may have a freon leak, have some UV dye put in and have it charged up with freon, and oil. When it gets to where it does not cool,or does not come on,then have the leak checked with the UV light and then you can repair it,do not use the red dye that is in a charge can,you will never find the leak,If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Outside Unit blowing air but not cooling and slight buzzing sound

The compressor is not coming on and some part of that unit has failed. Do you hear any clicking sounds along with the buzzing sound? Recommend that you shut the unit down (remove power from it) until a service tech can listen to it try to start up.

The power company-installed load management system is probably a red hearing. That system will either fully turn off the unit or allow it to turn on/start up.
