I tried putting under a bright light for about 1/2 hour and no success. There is a Symbol(-)on what appears to be the magnet screen(not sure). I tried to place it on that spot but did not work. This is a MT516 capacitor(soldered metal contact to the negative side). The owner of this watch tried replace it and when it didn't work, brought it to me. I currently attend the BHI for watch and clock making and still learning. This has me stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Dennis

there usually is an AC contact point to reset digital watches. Touching the + and the ac point with a conductive wire usually resets the watch. Not sure about the spring- I'm not going to open my Tissot up unless I have to.
SOURCE: Help setting the time
Tags have a screw down crown (winder knob) turn the knob counter clock-wise until you feel the crown unscrew (not off) then pull the crown carfully. It will pop once this is for date adjust. Then pull once more and you can now adjust the hands, set accordingly then push crown back in. After you push it back in gently compress the crown and tighten clockwise until it stops. CAUTION!!!!!!! Tags are not waterproof if the crown is not screwed back down. I hope this helps I am actually a car guy (just happen to own a couple)

Maddening, isn't it? Fortunately the solution is here:
http://www.ehow.com/how_5593310_set-athletic-works-watch.html
1 There should be four buttons: mode, reset, start and light. Find the mode button and press it three times until it is in the set time mode.
2 Find the reset button, which usually is located on the bottom right side of the watch face, and hold it until the time starts blinking.
3 Press the start button to change minutes.
4 Press the reset button again to switch to hours. You will know it worked when the hour starts blinking instead of the minutes.
5 Press the start button to change the hour. The watch can handle two modes: standard and military. As you press start, the hour will change from AM to PM, noted by an "A" or a "P" in the top right. When you get through 24 hours, the watch will change to military time and an "H" will be displayed instead of "A" or "P." Keep pressing start to go through another 24-hour cycle and it will revert back to standard time.
