Question about Whirlpool Dishwashers

My dishwasher will not drain. I have pulled off

My dishwasher will not drain. I have pulled off the bottom drain float and cleaned it, still doesn't work. The cycle seems to run but I think it just pushes water back into the dishwasher and not out the drain

Try cleaning out the drain line behind the dishwasher, this is a very common problem with draining. If not that then might need a valve or if you have a new garbage disposal you need to punch out a peice of the plastic or it wont drain. Hope this helped, good luck

My dishwasher displays a note h 03 what does that mean

I think that means it's not draining water correctly. My older portable dishwasher wasn't draining right and I found a small piece of white plastic had lodged under the float at the bottom which caused the dishwasher to think it wasn't draining. Look at the bottom of the dishwasher to find the float, usually round in shape and moves a little up and down when you gently pull on it, look for anything obstructing it's movement.

Check float valve

pull out your bottom rack, in one of the bottom corners of your dishwasher there will be a circular plastic piece. it is probably stuck in the up position . Wiggle it around, it should sit loosely in place. It's a float, so when water fills in your washer, the float should raise up, when the water is draining, the float should lower with the water. That's why the float should be sitting loose in position.

Dishwsher doesn't get disher clean

Hi

If the water inlet valve is fine and it fills with water then the issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

You have provided a very detailed explanation of the problem. You will have to check if the spring in the float is ok. May need to replace it. Cheick this.

Water in bottom of bosch dishwasher will not drain. How do I get this water to drain

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. To access the drain pump, please follow the procedure---
1. Drain pumps are mounted to sumps in the front of dishwashers --they're easily accessible from the front of dishwashers by removing toe kicks.
2. Tools needed: small flat blade screwdriver (for unlocking terminals).
3. Remove toe kick/base cover, pull up terminal cover and disconnect wires (using screwdriver to unlock locking terminals).
4. To remove pump, pull latch (on circular collar) & rotate pump clockwise (cw).
5. To install new pump, insert @ 2:00 position & rotate counterclockwise (ccw).
6. Clean water & debris from base, then check float operation.
7. Connect wires, then install base cover & toe kick.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Our dishwasher will not drain. We took the drain hose off, it is clear. So we dismanteled the botton thing in side the washer. Cleaned all the lime disposits and other ****. There were two little bead...

Pull out your dishwasher
Lean backward about 45 degrees
A small amount of water is coming out
put your appliance at its original position
Now it will be working
(normally there is a floating valve under the bottom of your appliance which has been stacked and sends the signal of no water flow.)

In case that it does not function, then there is a hard work to clean the plastic "labyrinth" which normally is fixed at the left side panel where a floating valve has been stacked a cause of dirty material.

Miele Model G 692 SCI PLUS does not start up. It drains water if you put water in the bottom. The Inlet/Drain light flashes. I have checked all the water filters and cleaned any very small particles...

The inlet/drain light also comes on when there is water in the base pan. There is a float switch that triggers this and over time if water has collected in the base pan the float switch can stick. Pull out the dishwasher and tilt it towards to back. If there is any water in the base pan it will come out. To be thorough, put the machine on it's back and remove the base pan (4 screws by the feet), the float switch is a circular plastic casing with a polystyrene float in it. It comes apart for servicing, the float can jam if there is any rubbish in the water.
