mine did this, i tried everything i thought. finally one of the geek squad guys told me to reboot my tablet. under settings you can reset everything back to factory settings. i uninstalled Facebook reinstalled it. but after i reset it back to factory setting it works like brand new. fast as ever. i lost all my data i had, so you may want to send it to another devise but this worked great for me. hope it helps.

You are stuck there permanently. Un-install the application and reinstall again. this time pay attention to every dialogue box that pop up during the configuration phase. Avoid or don't check where options for accessing FB by WiFi only pop up.
