Question about GE Lands Phones
Removing the battery, waiting a few minutes and then reinserting it. shud work in most issues....
Please note that if you have a wireless router for you computer in you house, it will definitly interfier with the 27909's registration process. Make sure you shut you wireless router first, before you try to register to the base (27909) unit.
All you have to do is place the second handset in the main base (the one connected to the phone line) after it's charged for the 16 hours in its own base. Leave it there for about 20 seconds, and check to see if the phone has a dial tone. Then, the "please register" message should disappear and you can re-name your second handset if desired.
if even after trying the above steps... ur unable to register then its likely some internal components have failed.... at this point u have no other option but to call GE...
thank you for using Fixya...
have a nice day

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
