My toshiba 32av500u has no picture completely blak only power little lit in front . turns on green no kind of sound

I have the same problem with the black screen and no sound. Also the green light turns on and off while hitting the power button. Although if i turn it on then off multiple times it eventually turns on and works perfect... Could you do the same thing before it finally quit all together or did yours just happen over night?

TV model 40RV753. Brand new. Setting up problem. Red/green light goes green for a very short time, during which 2 short 1 second bursts of an image with sound. light then turns to a flashing orange...

Hi Gordon,

Did you fix this problem? I have exactly the same model with exactly the same problem. I've checked the capacitors on the PSU board (as suggested in one of the responses above) and they all seem OK. If you fixed the problem, I'ld really like to know the solution. Many thanks.

Regards,
Harry.

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
Thanks to those who posted the solutions
