Hi, First check and see if there is something plugging the cold water inlet screen. Remove the cold water hose to look at the screen. Another way to test the inlet valve is set the washer to cold wash, listen for the inlet valve to buzz or hold feel the cold inlet fitting and see is you can feel it vibrating.
If there is nothing plugging the inlet screen and the inlet valve doesn't buzz, you will need to change it.
Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

The water valve has a 'Hot' and 'Cold' side, make sure to test if the unit will fill at a different water temp. setting, as a Cold/Cold setting will paralyze the machine if the Cold side of the water valve has failed... I pull the start botton and it does not start or load water. and I don't know what is wrong with my machine.

ok lets see here,, first we need to make sure your timer is working, put it in a spin cycle and let it run and see if it shuts off ,, if it does your timer MIGHT NOT be bad try and see if it will fill with hot water, then warm, then cold,, if it fills with hot i is the cold side of your water valve, if it fills with cold its the hot water side of your valve,, if hot and cold doesnt work it could be your wter valve, or your pressure switch

Will not fill with hot or cold water and is connected

You need good water pressure on hot for these machines to work, gravity fed systems may not be enough. I had to attach a pump to mine to improve the hot water pressure (UK)
Switch over the inlet pipes ie hot to cold and cold to hot and try filling the machine when switched to fill with hot water, (machine will fill will cold). proving the valve is opening and it is a pressure issue on you hot water.

The water fill valve - The water fill valve is a mechanical and electrical part, the coils on the valve need electricity to mechanically open the valve to allow the water to flow into the washer....myth....the washer pumps water into itself...no, it does not. The fill valve opens and the house water pressure pushes the water into the washing machine.
No cold water or no hot water - The fill valve has two coils, one for the hot water and one for the cold water. It is possible that one of the coils can fail and you loose that filling ability. If the cold water coil quits, the hot will still work and during warm fill you will get hot water only and during a cold fill you will get no water at all. If the hot coils quits, you will still have cold water fill, cold water only on a warm setting and no water on a hot fill setting. You can test a fill valve live for 120 volts, power to a fill valve coil and no fill = a bad fill valve. You can also test the coils for continuity, no continuity = a bad fill valve. Some Maytag washers have a fuse in the fill valve circuit, if this fuse let go the washer will not fill. Fill valves can also from time to time stick open and not stop filling. If you have to shut off the fill valves to stop the water from filling in the washer, you have a bad fill valve and you will have to replace it.

its the problem of drum getting blocked by any clothes getting tucked up.also try to move the drum manually with the machine off.if it makes any noise its the faulty motor.or drum has lost its alignment.it needs to be reseated properly in that case. -------------- The water fill valve - The water fill valve is a mechanical and electrical part, the coils on the valve need electricity to mechanically open the valve to allow the water to flow into the washer....myth....the washer pumps water into itself...no, it does not. Washing machine faberic softner try fills with water when in use.

hot water valve inside unit may be faulty ck it to make sure that it is powering up and then make sure it is operating. the cold and hot valve are one unit on most washers so the unit is replaced as one. if its a front loader than there might be a one way ck valve malfunctioning or the unit keeping intoducing water into the unit even though it is at the level it should be at. top loader then the level sensor is jacked and needs replaced.
