I have two RCA MP3 players, I can not find any info about your mod. on the web to help me help you. One of the RCA players I have takes a AA battery you push down on the cover and it will pop out. The other one you can not replaced the battery you just recharge it like a ipod. I would like to have a new battery as it does not last very long any more she is 3 years old now. I think as your mod # is similar to mind it does not take replaceable battery's.

RCA small wonder EZ 101 won't power up

I found that the RCA Small Wonder is very touchy when it comes to batteries. My unit went out 2x on me and I almost there it out. First time for no reason except I tried to put videos on computer. 2nd time I put rechargable batteries that I asume we're to powerful for the unit. I let it sit for a while and put regular AcDelco batteries in it and it was fine.

Not turning on

This happens to me on my Lyra MP3 player when my battery is low. If you have a fresh AAA battery in it, and it is in the right way and your lock on the back of your Lyra is OFF, and you still only get a blink, then you have a defective unit. Return it to RCA and get another one.

Had same issue with mine, right out of the box!  I called support, they sent me to some 3rd party support company...  That place told me to return to vendor.   Thompson Support.  They basically just tried going to the RCA website, found nothing there, and finished up with return to store...

Then it's a bad ground. Where did you ground the ground cable to? Is it tight, free of rust, clean, and most importanly, bare metal and free of paint?
