Oven is taking to long to heat

look for the temperature sensor inside the oven cavity in the upper left or top center of the upper oven cavity, its will be a silver or copper colored rod about 1/4" by 2" to 6" long this rod senses the oven temp and cycles the heat to the oven

Oven not coming on

Do you have a flame sensor located next to pilot lite if so remove and replace at your local ace hardware store remember to turn of gas and electric is repaire are attempted. Next if no flame sensor your termostate sensor located in oven is the problem and must be replaced there is not test for that one just remember that connections are located on the top section of stove and always check fuses if equipt.

My maytag gemini ovens will not heat up, It seems strange that they both do not heat. this is a gas stove and have never had a problem.

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My Maytag Gas Oven will not heat up very much. It's a 50/50 guess if the oven will heat to the correct temp. Sometimes it works fine, the other times it is not very warm at all in the ove, even after...

ello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Model # fgf347awj propane oven will not pre-heat.

Sounds like gas valve is bad and the thermostat also. I would change the gas valve first. But when you said oven would not lite sure sign the gas valve is bad. New gas valve is about 50ish t-stat could be another 20. I would almost just get another gas stove at a used appliance store for 125 or something like that if unit is very old.
