The color of my print is very pink and yellow with no blue

If your printer has 3 colored ink cartridges, your cyan (blue) cartridge is empty. Replace it with a new one. If your printer has just one colored ink cartridge, the blue section of it is empty. Replace the cartridge with a new one. You'll find the correct cartridge (normally a number) in the owners manual and/or on the cartridge itself. See the owners manual for instructions on where the cartridges are located and how to replace them.

All color images are printing pink/orange. all inks are only 1% used. the very first photo i printed was beautiful. every photo since has been the pink orange color. even the black is not printing well

This sounds like a blue ink cartridge failure or a clogged blue ink nozzle. If you have cleaned the nozzles, I would try another blue cartridge. if this does not solve the problem more aggressive cleaning may be required. Let me know and we can go throught the process. Thanks.

I have never used the Photo ink Cartridge #58. It intal pic shows putting it where the black one goes-does this mean I would use the color and the photo one at the same time instead of the black one?

Yes correct. The photo cartridge has to be inserted, where you install black cartridge. The photo cartridge gives finishing touch to the photos which you print. The actual photo comes from the color cartridge only, but for lightness and darkness, the color(ink) from photo cartridge gets used.In photo cartridge there are three color ink, that are light pink, light blue and grayish black. In color cartridge there are three color ink, that are pink(magenta), yellow and cyan( blue).------------- This are the details.Thank you for using fixya.

Testing color ink cartridge

Remove the print cartridge and press the head of cartridge on the tissue paper firmly.if the cartridge is okay it should shows three colors on the tissue.that are cyan(blue), yellow and magenta(pink).if you see any color missing that means the particular color is empty or dried up.get the cartridge refilled or replaced if necessary.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

My printer is printing in pink color how can i change it to black

Sounds like your black cartridge is either empty or clogged. Take out the black cartridge and press the print head against a moist paper towel. You should see a nice black rectangle, if you don't you could try placing the print head on a wet paper towel for a few minutes to wick out the ink (ink may seep through the paper towel so beware what surface you do this on). If after this there is still no ink flowing, buy a new cartridge.

Alarm flashes ink emptyhas ink! color was printing only yellow/green now prints only red/pink!

any chance it has dried out? run the test / head cleaning / did you reset the cartridge when you replaced it? generally if one or two colors work - the problem is the ink cartridge or the head for the colors not working. Did you remove the "tape" on the new cartridge?
