Hello,

If you write a movie the settings or format of the movie is change to the user define format. In writing your movie first is the computer will reformat the movie file format to some standard format. If you were writing cd the format will be mpeg and if in dvd the format is avi. So if your movie file is not the same format as mentioned above then the computer will automatically change the format to the format standard requirements. That is why it takes time to reencode the movie file format. Then if you unit is not the same as specs with the latest gaming specs today then it takes time to re encode the movie file format. So the hardware specs is something to do with this. If you want to speed up your unit then add memory.

Thanks

No cd burner connected to toshiba satellite l355d-s7825

In my limited experience cd burning software isn't very stable and causes software conflicts with Windows; uninstalling doesn't help very much because burning software tends to displace some Windows components that sort of gets lost in the process.

If you really know what you are doing it might be possible to repair Windows but at my level I find formatting and reloading everything is the best option.

I find Nero to be the greatest offender.

no burn software stated (use imgburn (free it is)

the drive must be clean, (optics)
the media needs to be good, dvd-r (top brands best) others not.
OS not infected, with virus is this XP the virus magnet?
the burn-software needs to be top quality, imgburn is that.
ive never ever burned a coaster with imgburn , 100's of time, more really. been burning since the First DVD-r was sold, for sure.

Hi,Windows DVD Maker is telling me it cannot create DVD "Class Not Registered" in small field after ejecting DVD,it encodes up to .07% then runs up to 70,80 % and ejects DVD.Many thanx in advance David

If you set your system clock to before October 31st 2006, you will be able to burn:

1. Right-Click the clock on the taks bar
2. Select Adjust Date/Time
3. Press the Change Date-Time button
4. Pick a date before October 31st 2006
If this doesn't work, then it is caused by some other computer problem. Check your decoder and DVD burner.

Toshiba sd-r2002

I'm very late to your question, but the problem is that this drive doesn't burn DVDs (i.e., it was not designed to do that). It's a CD-RW, DVD-ROM (read only).

Can't Burn Dual-Layer Disks

First, be sure your DVD burner is capable of burning dual-layered discs- Second, it may be rather an issue of copy protection on the disc. Have you succesfully copied commercial DVD's in this fashion? I'm unsure if I'm allowed to mention any software that might assist you in that regard- google is your friend.
