If you are experiencing problems with the touch screen on your DeLonghi 28LTR microwave/oven/convection (model AC928AY7-SVOF), here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Clean the touch screen: Sometimes, the touch screen can become unresponsive or malfunction if it is dirty or has moisture or debris on it. Try cleaning the screen with a soft, dry cloth and see if that helps.
Reset the microwave: Try resetting the microwave by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This can help clear any software or firmware issues that may be causing the touch screen to malfunction.
Check for software updates: Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any software updates available for your microwave. Installing any available updates may help resolve any issues with the touch screen.
Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact DeLonghi's customer support team for assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange for a repair or replacement if necessary.
Note: Before attempting any maintenance or repair work on your microwave, be sure to follow all safety precautions and refer to the owner's manual for guidance. Additionally, if you are not experienced with working on microwaves, it may be best to seek professional help.
The code on the screen indicate electric panel fault resulting from the touchpad malfunction.
The touch pad on your microwave oven acts as the brain of the appliance. It not only contains the buttons that you use to enter cooking settings and times, but also controls the function of the entire microwave. If the touch pad malfunctions or breaks completely, the microwave will cease to function. In this instance, the broken touch pad must be removed and a new touch pad must be installed, to restore functionality to the microwave.
1 Unplug the microwave from the wall outlet.
2 Remove the two screws, located on the front or top of the grill at the top of the microwave.
3 Pull the grill off of the microwave.
4 Remove the mounting screw from the top of the control panel.
5 Lift the control panel up and out to loosen. Look behind the control panel to ensure there are no metal tabs securing the control panel in place. If there are metal tabs, gently rotate the control panel to free the tabs.
6 Transfer the wires from the old control panel to the new control panel one at a time to ensure that the wires are properly installed.
7 Install the new control panel into the microwave and secure using the mounting screw that was removed.
8 Replace the grill from the top of the microwave and secure it using the screws that were removed.
9 Plug the microwave back into the wall outlet.
Thanks.
It seems like the control panel is malfunctioning. The censorfor external vent fan may not work due to faulty control panel.
You need toreplace the control panel, so that microwave will work properly. Replacing anERC is not a difficult repair and can be accomplished by the average do-it-yourselfoffer.
Hope this will help you. Good Luck.
about the only thing you could do is to replace the touch pad there are no repairs done to touch pads we basically just install a new one i suppose one could take one apart and try to fix it but there are no schematics that they give to the touch pad make sure before ordering a new touch pad that it is the touch pad and not the control board that has malfunctioned if you are unable to perform these tests please call a repair technician if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again

You must remove the vinyl cover from the control panel and wipe down the face underneath it with denatured alcohol. It's pretty tricky depending on your mechanical caliber.
Then clean the inner side of the vinyl cover the same way. Caution don't soak the power unit just dampen a cloth, this goes for the cover also!
This is a problem with the control panel assembly, which we repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.
