try NOT going through media player as it tries to convert any audio. keep your files as mp3. preferably stored in "My music" file on your computer. then when you connect your psp via USB go to "open folder to view files" then open psp/music file. leave it open and open a "My computer" window my documents/my music, then just click and drag to psp/music file.
Unlike most devices the Philips 3020 will only play videos that are converted using the software that came with it and it will only open wmv files. So these are the steps that you need to do to successfully to play video on the 3020:
1) convert video into wmv format using any wmv converter (unless it is already in wmv format). I use WinAVI video converter and it works perfectly.
you need to know where the default folder is that your camera transfers pics and video to, on your pc, it could be a folder named as the date you transfered or Kodak or simply transfers automatically to my pictures or my video, so connect the camera again and see where it is transfering them to.
If you mean you cannot open the file, then you may not have the required software to do it, so when you find the file, right click on it and then select 'Open With' and then in the next option line will be any programme you have installed to view videos.
If when you right click and then there is no available programme, click browse instead and then look on your c:/ drive and then programme files and look for similair programmes to windows media player or quicktime, the select the option 'Always open files of this type using this programme'
