My Vision Pro didn't reset any data when I pulled it from the wall and put it back. No batteries to remove as I never installed them since I leave it on the wall. My temp schedules where still in place and the screen was still locked. bummer. I noticed that only the first two or three collums of buttons worked on mine. Everything else to the right was locked. I could use the sched and hold buttons but this was not too usefull. This kept me from getting into the Advanced Menu as the buttons I needed to hold down were locked! I managed to reset the whole unit by pulling the screen and circuit board out of the housing and pulling the CMOS battery from the back of the board. When I put it all back together It prompted for date and and year etc. However I could not adjust these as the screen still appeared to be locked! I then proceeded to pull the circuit board back out and the cmos battery out and then I pulled the two thin ribon cable connectors free from the circuit board and pluged them back in incase they were not connected well. Turns out this fixed it! I did all of this and when I put it back together it worked fine. I had to check all my Advanced Settings and it looked like for the most part all my schedules were still there so It was fixed. However the very next day it was locked again. I plan on contacting Customer support about this now to see if they will replace it. I think that it is just a faulty unit or that the connectors are not well made. I've only had it a year now. I plan on trying the connectors again and if it locks after that I will see that Honewell replaces it.

Did you make sure that when you pushed the system button that either heat or cool was blinking before pressing the buttons left and right of center? Also you can pull the stat from the base mounted on the wall and remove the batteries, wait a few and put the batteries back in and it should revert back to initial factory settings

Just as a follow up... I have had the same thermastat going on 5 years now. I had this screen unresponsive problem a time or two since my 1st post. Each time, undoing the ribbon cable connections on the circuit board and putting them back in fixed it.. I've been 2-3 years now without issue so I must have finally got the connectors tighter. Also Dan, Not sure what system button you speak of but I'm sure my problem was not related to selecting a setting or anything like that. The touch screen digitizer was simply not getting signals back to the main circuits.

I was waiting inside our 2011 Toyota Sienna for my husband to return. Without me doing anything, the car locked and unlocked 14 times in total. I grabbed my tablet when this all started and kept a record...

I would contact a dealer locally and see if they can check the system for fault codes . many times when we have key fobs in our pockets they get activated just walking from the buttons getting depressed by other things in the same pocket .
Cell phones even make what some refer to as B U T T calls .

Sprint htc touch pro 2 - will locking prevent accidental dialing or does it have something to do w/the backlight,,,every couple min. phone lights up and then the buttons are too easily accessed leading to...

locking your phone will help stop accidental dialling. if you don't lock your phone all you have to do is touch the screen and your ready to press buttons if you lock it then you have to unlock before you can press them, so in turn to acccidently call somebody it would have to unlock itself in your pocket.

Upstairs honeywell thermostat went out on 3/7 [no display]

FIRE THIS GUY!!!!

You have two systems.
These two systems should be wired totally independent of one another. I have the Pro series t/stat in my house. I love it.... I am a retired contractor I get stuff at cost. I paid about $130 for that t/stat. I understand he is in business to make money. But he should be fair enough that in the future you would want to call him back, Or even give him a nice referral. Alol this guy wants is your money. If the first guy admitted thatbhe did not have the expertice. He shouldn't be paid the experts price.
Call your city or county building inspectors office. Tell them that you would like a list of 4 or 5 reputable heating contractors in your area.
$275 should be fair for the nice t/stat and a fused transformer. Although a cheap t/stat would be fine.
Plus 75 bucks to pull upthe driveway. 60 -90 bucks labor to staighten things out. You should not have to pay for the romantic weekend away for the contractor and his wife.
GOOD LUCK!

Sat stuck on one spot

Can you still access the menus or has it locked up totally?

If it has locked up totally, there is usually a tiny recessed reset button that you can press to restart. failing that, try holding down the power button for 10 seconds

Then take it outside somewhere where there is plenty of clear blue sky and turn it back on again. It might take a while to get a good satellite lock, but it should come back.

Sat Nav systems do not work well indoors, which is where most people want to test them.
