Packard Bell L4 just the HD lamp lights and Power Light. No activity at all though.

I'am afraid this is very bad news, the motherboard is far to gone to rescue, but lets try something, remove main battery and the power supply from the laptop, press and hold power for 2 minutes, at the end of that time put everything back in place and power up. If this fails motherboard only option.

Emachines e4026 non-responsive

I don't think it's an overheating CPU. It would stay on for a bit longer if it was that. My best guess is a power supply issue. Either your power supply is bad, or more likely something is pulling too much power from it. Emachines are notorious for using the bare minimum hardware... possibly the extra hard drive is pulling more juice than the power supply can handle, so it shuts down. Try disconnecting power to the new hard drive and see if the machine comes up. If it does, you need a new, higher wattage power supply.

I change the power supply cause its not work and now its ok but there nothing display on the screen only the word say power seving

Assuming that you have correctly hooked up the power supply and that when you turn on the computer the power supply powers up as well as the CPU fan and the hard drive spins up, you have a video problem. While this COULD be because of a bad power supply, I think there is another hardware issue here.
You say you changed the power supply because it didn't work. I'd ask why didn't it work--did it suddenly make a popping sound or did you smell burning electronics? If so, when it failed, it may have taken part of the motherboard with it.
If you have an integrated motherboard (the video is actually part of the motherboard), then that is probably the issue here.
Just to be sure, disconnect everything BUT the CPU and memory and video. Then try to start it. If you see something on the screen (like a message telling you there is no boot device) then you can assume the hard drive or CD has gone bad. Reconnect the hard drive to see if it starts. Then the CD.
If you fail to get any image on the screen, assume that your motherboard is shot.

No pwer to fans on cpu will not power on. green blinking light on fron of cpu dell desktop

If your computer will not start, there are several things you can do to troubleshoot.
The problem may be caused by: bad motherboard, bad CD, bad hard drive, bad memory, bad CPU or bad power supply.
You need to isolate the problem by following these procedures:
Open the case and disconnect everything but the CPU and the memory. (Might be a good idea to leave the video connected to see what, if anything, is going on.)
Now try to turn the system on.
Any luck? Start plugging things in until you find out what causes failure.
No luck? Well, it could be memory, so you can remove one stick of memory if you can. Otherwise you can test the power supply and if good, move on to replacing the motherboard.

Oh, yes--test the line voltage going into the computer. It may be low.

Solid green light until power button turned on the light goes out disconected power supply from mother board and everything else and plugged it in nothin happens is it dead Jim

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
Test the leads that attach to your ((hard drive from the motherboard)) or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive))
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

My custom built computer has a the m7vig400 installed and i can't formatt my new harddrive because the fan on top of my processor will not come on why ? it came on with a 16 head hard drive how do i...

First, make sure you plug the power from the fan back into the motherboard & try it again. Did you do anything else besides just pulling out your old hard drive & putting the new one in? The CPU fan is completely independent of the CPU fan. You can start up you system without ANY hard drives & the CPU fan will come on if it's plugged in & the power supply is working etc. If you make sure the fan is plugged in correctly & the fan still doesn't come on, I suggest you temporarily put your old hard drive back in & firing things up. I'm sure you will find that the fan still doesn't work.

All that said, if the CPU fan isn't working (& everything else is), then it's a bad fan or motherboard. It's not necessarily a bad motherboard. Sometimes there are jumpers that control that sort of thing. I'm not sure exactly what that motherboard does. I have had this exact motherboard for years & as long as the fan is plugged in (& the power supply is working), when you start things up, the fan comes on.

One last thought, try flipping the power supply switch in the back to reset the power supply before you press the button in the front. Good luck...

Critical error

A "critical error" could be caused by many things: Faulty RAM, a bad cable, overheating, faulty power supply, corrupted hard drive, damaged circuit trace on motherboard, and others. To fix, try removing the hard drive and trying a known-good unit, if possible. Format and do a clean system install on the replacement drive. This way you may be able to salvage data from the old drive once you get the system back online. Also make sure all RAM and any expansion cards in the system are fully seated. If this process doesn't help, you are probably dealing with a faulty cable or bad RAM. In my experience, the possible culprits are as follows, starting with the most likely:
1.Faulty/corrupted hard drive 2.Faulty drive cable 3.Bad RAM 4.Faulty power supply (can cause drive corruption) 5.Bad motherboard 6.Incorrectly seated/faulty peripheral cards 7.Bad CPU
If you can describe the circumstances surrounding this failure, or if any upgrades or other service were performed recently, these will be clues as to the source of the error. Please post them if available.

This is a motherboard problem. You'll need to replace it. Although, it may be cheaper just to buy a new PC (eMachines are never very expensive, or well-made for that matter)

Go to the Asus website and download the drivers for this board. It's most likely that it did not come with drivers installed. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Good luck.
