Typically, the VIN is stamped into a plate that's mounted on the dashboard near the windshield or on the driver-side door jamb. It's also stamped on the engine's firewall.

You can copy down the entire vin on your car and call Chevrolet. They will know as long as it still has the original engine.

Eighth digit is the engine number if you call year one restoration parts ( 1 -800- year-one ) with the complete vin number they can break the codes for you and tell you everything you ever wanted to know about it from where it was assembled to what engine,options,interior package ,suspention,even what number it was in the assembly line

You use the Vehicle VIN# on the dash to find the engine size

If you go to WIX Filters they have a sample of what Letter
on your VIN is the engine size

I think it is the 6 or 8th one of the vin

Hi Hannah, Your engine size should be listed on the emission sticker(on the hood or front radiator support, and its listed within the V.I.N.(vehicle identification number) the 6th digit of the VIN is your engine size. Here is a conversion for that year: "9"=1.6LiterVtec "8"=1.5Liter "6"=1.6LiterVtec "3"=1.6LiterVtec Below are pictures of your VIN and emission sticker.

I think the 8th number is the engine number on the VIN and the 10th number /letter is the year ...might have that backwards. but i am close to correct

Hi - we're gonna need more than just "Acura" ---- model year and engine size, also 2WD/4WD and number of cylinders.
Engine code is 8th digit of VIN, and model year (I can do the translation) is the 10th digit of VIN.

Changes are almost always done by production date.Sometimes it is expressed as a date and sometimes they use a serial number or VIN number.The production date is your safest bet.
