Re: Spin Cycle quit and just hums

You may have a drain error problem.  The unit will not go into spin if the water cannot be extracted properly.  Check your filter screen to make sure that it is clear.

Whrilpool modle #lsq9544kq0 washer works in

Humming could mean a stalled motor. These machines also have a coupling between motor and gearbox which can fail. However, the pump is attached to the motor, so if it's not pumping it probably means the motor isn't spinning. Check motor and/or gearbox.....Nomess

Hotpoint bwd 129 won't go through cycle stops on spin

If you click the timer forward can you get the spin to come on? If so your timer is faulty. Is it only on the spin cycle that washer doesnt work?Is there possibly a humm from the machine at spin? (assuming you have clothes inside) If there is a hum, you very possibly have a faulty motor capacitor.

Stuck on rinse cycle

Your water valve is bad or the cold side of the valve is stopped up with sediment. Clean the water valve inlets. If that does not correct the problem, replace the water valve.

Washer won't spin

Check the washer motor. Make sure that the motor is getting correct voltage and is working and spinning when you turn it on. It sounds like the motor is bad. You can remove the back cover to get to the motor to check it out

Kenmore 80 Series Won't advance to spin

You will need to replace the timer. Let me explain why;
After the agitation cycle, the machine will enter a drain mode where the basket will not spin, only drain. After some time, the timer should 'pause' causing the machine to engage the spin clutch. The timer contact has become stuck, not allowing the pause, thus never entering engaging the spin clutch.

Humming noise during spin cycle

Strangely enough, the electronics in the motor drive circuits are quite hardy. Suggest if motor does agitate but not spin, check the motor brushes and see what length and condition they are in.Have had to replace brushes on many occasion.If you have a motor that has a capacitor then check the cap. It could be defective.

I have the same problem. The water drains, but I have no spin leaving the clothes soaked. I get a humming sound and thats it. The rest of the washer works fine. Any help would be great.
