Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner
Its not cooling
Does the fan work? Can you here a distinctively lower toned motor which is the compressor? If either of these are not working let us or a hired HVAC Tech know. If you can verify that both of these are working, consider this; These units get dirtied up very quickly, like a window unit. If you remove and clean your filter, you can take a flashlight to see if the coils are clean above where the filter was. A clean unit is very essential. With a household sprayer some mild cleaner like simple green and safety glasses you can clean the coils yourself. After saturating thoroughly with solution, rinse with two whole bottles of water. If all of these things have been met., you may have a refrigerant problem. This, by law EPA Section 608, would necessitate calling a Certified EPA Tech. Good luck
