Re: Camera frozen

Try removing the memory card first then turn it on ...
see what happens
the problem maybe with your card and not with the camera

Battery exhausted, change them, take one photo, and camera says battery exhausted again. I have this camera one year and this is the first time this has happened.

Good quality rechargeable batteries are a must for these cameras. What I would suggest is AA' NI-MH rechargeable batteries the type that come already charged and when used and recharged will hold their charge up to 80% for a year. These batteries you will find will outlast any AA Alkaline type. If you are using a no name department store AA Alkaline type battery it's a wonder it even turned on.

D80 "battery drained' and "F"sign when pressing release button

Pls make sure of the following:

- You are using original Nikon batteries (generic batteries gave a similar problem to me)
- The aperture ring of your camera is correctly placed

A640 freeezes while taking pictures

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

My Jazz Dv179 Digital Camcorder Won't recharge

The battery in the camera is likely not a rechargable one. Check the print on the battery. Mine was not so I assume your is not as well. The maker of the camera was pretty cheap not supplying a rechargable battery, for the price they ask for the camera.

Camera won't turn on.

Make sure the battery contacts are clean. The rechargable batteries looses their charge even when they are not in use. It is important to fully charge the first time the rechargable batteries.

Camera Frozen in "On" Position

Hi, I read somewhere that this happens with alkaline batteries, but I have had the same problem with my rechargables (...don't use alkaline batteries in this camera). Anyway, removing the batteries with the camera in the off position and replacing them with fully charged ones usually clears the freeze. I also carry a spare CRV-3 just in case the rechargables go flat and this can help overcome the problem. Just don't leave it in the camera as they are too expensive to have it flatten them overnight!

Disney Pix Micro Digital - stopped working after 10 minutes

The type or memory in the camera requires a charge in order to store data. So if you have any pictures on the camera it will constantly be pulling a charge from the battery until the battery is completely drained. If you have this problem even with a brand new battery it's possible that the memory may be corrupt and needs to be cleared. To do this just remove the battery and press both buttons several times each to make sure that the camera is completely discharged, replace the battery with a brand new battery and try again. If that fails I'd get in touch with customer service for a replacement.

Rechargeable batterie won't work in my Camera.

Not sure what camera you have, but some cameras require a very steady power supply voltage. Also not sure how old your rechargeable batteries are either, but batteries (alkaline and rechargeable decay over time. With the rechargeable ones, the more you use it, the less it can charge to full capacity over time. For example, if your rechargeable battery is supposed to charge up to 1.5V, over a period of a year with constant recharges, you can test with a volt meter and see that it never really goes back up to 1.5V, but more like 1.48V, 1.45V or maybe even 1.4V.

Depending on the camera or other item you use rechargeable batteries on, it can adapt to low voltages with special circuitry inside (but only to a certain limit, when a battery is old, it is old).

You can try buying a new set of rechargeable batteries and use it few times and see if this fixes the issue. If not, your camera may be faulty and just draining the battery (not too likely, but it happens).
