Question about Schwinn Meridian Adult 26-Inch 3-Wheel Bike
Trikes are normally not made to ride much more then just around the block do going up even the smallest grade will be difficult. You could change the gearing but I suggest looking into adding a 3 speed hub if you are planning to ride more then a couple miles or live in a hilly area. You should contact your local bike shop.

By putting a larger (more teeth) rear sprocket or a smaller front sprocket, you will decrease your top speed potential but make it easier to climb hills. You will most likely need a professional's advice on how much of a change is necessary, as well as the installation and requisite chain replacement.
