Door handle WB15x337 no longer available. Is there a generic replacement somewhere?

On the inside of the door there is a plastic frame that goes around the edge with 2 slots in it that the door latches go through. You have to very carefully pry the frame outward to remove it. First check with a parts supplier to see if your handle is available because some microwave doors are not repairable----you need to purchase a complete door. If the handle is available then attempt to remove the frame as I described before. Once the frame is off you should be able to see the handle screws. If they are still hidden the outer door frame and inner metal door will need to be separated also. They too just pry apart with plastic tabs holding everything together. Replace handle and reassemble. Not hard just time consuming and must be done carefully so as not to break the plastic parts.

I can't find a parts breakdown for that door anywhere, and I am using extensive resources. All that is shown is the complete door, which is no longer available. If the handle was available, it would be nearer $100.00 than $50.00. So, it's time for you to get creative. Are you a woodworker, can it be glued, spliced, splinted,...

if the handle is available separately; it's more than likely screwed in from the inside of door. carefully remove the inner door trim with a small putty knife; working it around. screws for handle should be visible.

you'll have to remove the molding and the handle clips in to place and also has to screws that hold it in place, after that reassemble the door outside trim.

This is a generic answer

Open the door and look carefully for a plactic strip that may be covering screws. If none. look on the bottom edge or the edge with the hinge. Remember, someone had to assemble the door so there has to be some way to disassemble it. I have never seen one that can not be opened (glued, cemented or welded closed) Remember, most doors are spring loaded and may snap shut on you with the door partially removed. Also, keep in mind the process you went through to get it apart. You will have to reverse that process. You may want to take pics with your cell phone as you progress.

Once open (and you may need a 'Torx' tool to remove the screws), replacing the handle should be simple.

If it's just the bottom one and you don't want to disassemble things to reconnect things right, drill a pilot hole in at an angle through handle and door to permit screwing in a wood screw to fix it up.  Brutish, yet sexy.

How to replace handle on GE Advantium SCA1001DSS.

Remove two screws on top at front in order to remove plastic front vent grill. Then the door lifts off pin hinges. Lay door flat on surface. Plastic trim snaps off with gentle prying (start at bottom middle and bottom hinge side). Then remove six screws holding notched metal section with door latch. This piece will also snap out (several visible clips holding it around edges). Then remove door handle screws, Replace handle and reverse process to put back together.
