Have you tried to change the burner all together. If it is the one you pull out, just pull it out and go to a appliance store or home depo and get a replacement it should work fine after that. If the problem still exists you have a wiring problem to that burner. but I am sure it is just the burner if all your other burners work...

One burner won't spark when another is aflame. Multi-ignition BlueStar 4-burner range.

I would check that the plates are on correctly. Make sure they are aligned and sitting properly. Sometimes they move while cleaning and give you a bad ground connection for the spark.

My kenmore flat top stove front burner quit working. I replaced the 9" element and it still will not work. Any suggestions.

your burner switch is wattage rated ( as all burners are ) you want to check H1 and H2 for voltage 220vac and replace it with the correct switch Rf,Rr Lf Lr some shafts on controls are colour codded
refer to your model number and proper switch and element location
Cheers

Front burner does not light. Turning gas on and the gas does not seem to have a lot of pressure.

If the rest of the burners work correctly, then you have a clogged burner head. You can try to clear it out and if that doesn't work you will need to replace it. Here is the kit to order.

follow this instructions. God bless you

Unplug your unit and turn off the gas supply at the saddle valve near the unit.

    • 2
Lift up the hood of the oven. If you have sealed burners, the lid will not lift up. Locate the ignitors near the burners of the unit. Clean any gunk away from the ignitor using a toothbrush. Test the unit.

    • 3
Pull the burner dials off the front of the unit if the ignitors won't work.

    • 4
Remove the screws at the ends of the front cover, where the gas supply knobs are located, using a screwdriver, and remove the cover from the oven.

    • 5
Slide the wires off the burner valve switches and pull them off the burner valve by sliding the switch forward. The switch will have wires attached to it. Loosen the screws holding down the wires of the burner valve. Pull out the wires carefully. Place the wires in a new switch. Slide the new switch onto the burner valve. Replace the knob, and turn on the gas supply and power. Ignite the burner.

Follow the switch wires into the oven if the new switch doesn't work. Locate the module box, which is usually 2 inches by 3 inches. Slide the wires out of the module terminal by pulling on the wire connectors. Remove the screws from the old module and pull the module out. Insert the wires into the new module, using the same wire orientation as before. Reassemble the oven. Turn on the electricity and gas, and turn on the burner.

Burner will not get hot enough

When the burner arced out it probably also ruined the switch. Most switches on a standard electric range have 5 wires. 2 wires to the burner. 2 hot wires from power and a smaller wire which connects to the indicator light marked P. It is easy to test the switch Unplug the stove. Turn the suspect switch on wide open. Check for continuity between the 2 terminals going out to the burner marked H1 and H2
If you cannot get a reading then the switch has failed. Note: when replacing the switch usually on most stove the replacement will not be or look like the original HOWEVER it will still have L1 and L2 H1 and H2 and P but the terminals are not always in the same order. If you fail to correctly connect the new switch you will fry 2 switches when both get turned on. Ouch!

I am renting a condo with an old Weber Grill - 2 burner / LP (I think it is a Genesis Silver A ('00-01) model . I have very little gas pressure at the burner tubes. - Front tube flickers on/off with...

Yes the best option for just for you is to buy a new burner, tube kit and a new manifold kit because all the things that you said you removed from the burner must have caused alot of rust on the burner and if you keep welding the burner there will still be linkage after awhile so the best thing is just for u replace the burner.

The front burner won't light.

I assume the other burners are lighting and the spark ignitor is working - if so try cleaning in and around the burner. a spill could have caused this problem. this should be a sealed burner model - if so make sure the burner top cap is on and seated correctly and or not gunked up with a spill. also check to make sure

2 of 4 burners ignite, all tick?

The two front burners are used most often. On the side of the burners are tiny holes that become plugged and keep the burner from lighting. If all the burners are the same size try swapping the heads around. If they are not all the same size be sure they are in the correct position and fully seated on the top. Sometimes the heads have to be replaced when cleaning no longer works.
