My washer pump runs continually even though there is nothing in the sump and continues to run even when i open the door. I suspect that the problem i have is the anti-flood switch since when i tilted the machine, a lot of water came out and it then did a whole cycle successfully on just two occasions before it refused to do more.
However, I cannot fathom how to take the thing apart! I can't take the sides off without first removing the top but there is no visible means of detatching it. Does it snap straight on or do I force it forward or back please? Once I start the DW, it drains out the water but it does not go on to the main program after draining out the water. I have checked the hose and water drains out without a problem. The pump keeps running even if there is no water left. How to fix it?
-   I have a very similar problem. The pump runs and runs with the door open or closed. I pour water into the bottom and it is pumping it out. It seems like the water is not getting into the unit. Yea, I checked all the feeds and they are active. I am leaning toward a problem with the over flow switch? Any advise?
By the way, this all happened after what looked like a backflow situation. It looked like my sink plugged leaving nasty water in the bottom of the machine. My wife started it back up after clearing the clog and the water pumped out of the bottom and just kept pumping. I am thinking that the was trying to protect us from an overflow situation and it has not reset from that condition.-   GlazaS
