When you plug a cord into a two pin connector that I assume is on the side of the box, it should disconnect the batteries inside. If taking the batteries out kills the power completely with the cord still attached, then the switch on the power socket in the unit is NOT connecting the built-in power supply.

My suggestion is to look online and try to find one there.

Remove the ten screws at the bottom. There are three hidden screws at the back just above ,one is left of antenna , another is at the middle back just half inch from top and the last is at the other end. These screws are covered with round plastic so this plastic cover needs to be remove first by either drill or small flat screw then you can remove the remaining three screws to open the the unit.

The line in jack is for an audio "input" from another device say a tape recorder or say audio from maybe a short wave radio type of device.
This is strictly for feeding a audio signal into this device. To feed maybe audio "from this" AZ102 C you would then use the "line out" jack.
