Question about Frigidaire Dishwashers
Your dishwasher is certainly fixable - the issue is troubleshooting to find where the fault lies.
From your description this can be narrowed down in order to three areas as follows
1) The thermostat controlling the heater element is faulty or has been tripped
2). The heating element has stopped heating and is faulty.
3) The control board is faulty and has stopped cycling into the heat cycle and onto the drain cycle.
You may be lucky and find that the thermostat has been tripped. With the machine unplugged from the socket remove the bottom 2 screws in the panel giving you access to the underside of the machine. You don't need to remove the dishwasher.
If you look inside the dishwasher you will see the element and on the left hand side near the front the thermostat.
Underneath the thermostat is a small red button - reach in and push this - if it clicks - you've fixed it!
Total cost zero!
A heating element would need to be checked with a multimeter to determine if it is faulty as would the control panel.
It does sound suspiciously like your control panel is the problem as the machine does not appear to be cycling properly through heat and then drain etc .... but if you feel confident about doing it the thermostat trip is well worth checking out as you may just be lucky.
As always make sure the machine is unplugged before attempting to make any repairs to it!
Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many Thanks.
