The 2 most common problem is that the round filter inside of the lid for the dirty water bucket is up too high. There needs to be a 1/4 inch gap or so. The other is that the lid is not locked on the the bucket.

make sure the container for the soap is full and is popped into place correctly.

Hoover steam vac deluxe - no suction and the scrubbers aren't spinning uless you tilt off the floor.

I would suspect that your turbine assembly bearings need to be replaced. also check for debris inside the brush assembly. check the intake filter under the front clear cover. verify the recovery tank lid is on securely, as well as the foam filter on the tank lid is clean.

Steam vac won't **** water

check to see if the recovery tank lid is on correctly. if this is not on, the machine will not **** up the dirty water from the carpet. all you will get is suction that is chopy when it comes up instead of more like a flow.

My hoover steam vac

OKay! I've figured it out! After making sure I had the cleaning solution container connected properly, the "lint filter" thingy clear, the attachment plug thingy unplugged, the filter in it's proper position, (about a cm down from the seal), and the seal on the filter was all good, etc etc etc, the brushes in properly...I was about to drive over this steam cleaner with my car!

After taking a break and going back to it, I discovered that I didn't have the lid to my dirty water tank (or air tank, as I was starting to call it) properly closed. There are two lips that you have to make sure the lid "hinges" from, and THEN snap the lid shut. This made a seal that allowed this steam cleaner to **** up all kinds of gooey gunk from my carpets! The brushes work, the suction works, it's a FABULOUS machine! It doesn't get any louder when it's sucking up water, either.

All this AND I had the instructions! Go figure!

My machine is a little more than a year old. I have used it about 5 times. It started leaking the third time I used it. The fourth time I took it out, the brushes would not spin (I did clean them and rinse them after use each time).
Now the engine screams and won't **** anything up. Do you have any suggestions? My last Hoover Steam Vac was great and lasted for 3 years! Hi,
I have a Hoover Dual V SteamVac F7425-900 that the brushes won't spin. The lint screen is clean & the brushes switch is in the on position.
It dispenses & sucks up the cleaning solution & water; just no brush action. Help

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The only thing that I can recommend is that you may have a bad switch, some vacs may have a broken belt or the drive mechanism inside the Hoover Dual V SteamVac F7425-900 in or by the brush assm section and is need of repair. Please check the trouble shooting section of the owner’s manual if you’re needing help and to save money. If you don’t have one then contact the Hoover factory cust serv. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. Steam vac will not pick up dirty water

My Hoover Steamvac problem isn't with the bruches--it's with the suction. Dirty soapy water stays in the carpet instead of being returned to one of the holding tanks.

The recovery tank also has a clear plastic piece in the front that is suppose to be snapped into place to make sure its in place pull on it in the direction of the handle of the steam cleaner if it snaps then that was the problem it got out of place
