The directions were excellent for taking apart the case and bottom of the clamshell. Do you have directions on taking apart the top portion of the clamshell (the part with the screens) without breaking them?

From the back of the phone, remove 1 screw @ the top/center. Take the battery cover off, remove the battery. Remove 4 screws. With a medium size blade
screwdriver, gently pry the case apart at the battery charger hole. Just pry the plastic, not the connector case. Then with a very thin precision blade screwdriver, work your way around both sides of the case. Note: there is a connector that goes to the display portion of the phone. Once the case is open, gently pry the connector of the main circuit board. There will be a keyboard cover, 2 side button plastic pieces, 2 side button circuit boards, the top plastic cover, and the bottom main circuit board.

Good Luck

What To Do When Your Phone Does Not Turn On

The simplest reason causing a phone not turn on is a dead or drained battery. It happens when the phone gets immersed in water, dropped or allowed to fully drain the battery. The symptom is phone not turning on and not charging the battery. When that happens, make sure first that the battery is not just dead or drained before you send the phone to the service center for repair or before you buy a new battery. You may decide to send it right away only to find out the battery is simply dead/drained or buy a new battery only to find out the phone is dead.

The first thing you can do is borrow a friend’s known good battery similar to yours and try it in your phone. If the phone turns on, you are pretty sure your battery is dead or drained; otherwise, it's time to send it for repair.

When it is verified that the battery is dead or drained or if you don’t have someone to borrow from, try to revive the battery before you buy a new one. You just need a 9-volt battery, a 6-12 volt power supply, or a DC adaptor (6 or 9 volts) and a set of wires.

Connect the set of wires to the terminals of the 9-volt battery, power supply, or DC adaptor whichever is available.

Look for the polarity markings on your battery and connect the other ends of the wires to the battery terminals in the same polarity as the source above. The positive terminal is marked (+) while the negative is marked (-). Do this for 10 to 60 seconds or until the battery gets slightly warm. Do not use this procedure to fully charge the battery.

Insert the revived battery in your phone and charge it until it is fully charged. If the battery works well and does not discharge easily, you don't have to replace it.

In the event that it is not verified whether the phone still turns on or not using a known good battery and the battery is revived but the phone is still not charging the battery, the phone is dead; send it to the service center for repair.

Phone is completely dead. Battery is fully charged and I have taken the battery out and put it back in but still phone is dead.

Hi, how would you know battery is fully charged, and phone is still dead?.

You will need to confirm by using another battery to know if it is not a battery problem before you proceed to the next option.

After checking,if no response yet, that means you will now know that the phone is experiencing power problem.

To solve power problem, you will need to service the phone and flash the phone.

You can use this link to flash the phone for it to power up again.

(unlocktotalk.com/UnlockCodeInstructions.htm)).

And for the servicing of the phone, contact a technician.

Note: service before flashing.
Take care.

The phone has been dead for more than a year

You cannot usually charge a totally flat battery from the USB port. These are only used to "Top UP" the battery... You need to replace it with a fully charged one,and then us the USB to keep it fully charged.

Phone dies after only texting maybe three or four times even though it was just taken off the charger.

How old is the phone? These kinds of batteries need to be handled with care. Meaning, for the battery life to be high, you must fully charge phone, then use the phone till the battery is dead, then fully charge again. Do not charge if there is still juice in the battery and do not take off charger after only partially charging the phone. This will help maintain the life of the battery.

IF I WILL CHARGE MY PHONE IN A FEW MINUTES IT SHOWS FULLY CHARGE

I'm not certain what your question is you made a statement more or less.

I do know that alot of cell phones will show that they are fully charged after minutes of charging, but then very quickly go back down to almost dead within an hour. This is because the phone is not actually fully charged. Most batterys need at least an hour minimum to be fully charged after its drained completely.

Post back if you need any further assistance. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Lg ks360 battery problem,, charge it up fully and battery dies in 2 hours my phone is dead in the morning when i left it the night before with only one bar of the battery down. What can i do to solve this...

Im not sure if this goes for phones...
But I noticed that when you get something with a charger and you seem to over-charge it (Leaving it constantly plugged in or charging it for long periods of time after its fully charged) it actually makes the life of the object shorter....

It could be that because you've been leaving it over night to charge its been eating at the LGs battery...

But like I said, im not sure...
Obviously you can't fix something like that...

My battery went dead this morning i charged it this evening and it is just showing a battery and timer wont switch on or charge??

from what I hear, you have either fully charged your battery or your battery is pretty much completely dead.

your options:

1. If it's completely dead and won't hold a charge it's time to purchase another battery, this happens from time to time so don't freak out about it.
2. If it's fully charged, try taking the battery completely out of the phone, and re-inserting it after a few minutes, sometimes cell phones need to be reset.
3. ensure that your charger is working properly, if its not getting juice to it neither is your phone.
4. try to dial your number just to see what happens to the phone.
5. if someone else u know has a charger like yours try to borrow theirs to charge your phone possibly ruling out a bad charger

Charged cell phone

do not charge your mobile battery each night for best battery use, you need to charge the phone only when the battery is completely dead.

You should take the phone and have it fully check and service
