Question about Xerox Phaser 7300DN Laser Printer

No fusing at all. fuser cam stuck in open position

The fuser unit release cams are getting stuck in the "released position". If the right edge of the cam happens to stop between the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock positions. Using the fuser unit motor diag tests, a fuser unit motor forward action won't disengage the cams. Fuser Unit Reverse will spin the cam around clockwise reliably. Fuser Unit Release will press the cam in, back off and press the cam in again. The leading edge of the cam stops randomly between 1 o'clock and 4 o'clock af the end of this test..
Is this a symptom?

Manually releasing the cams allows the next job to fuse properly, but the cams get stuck in the open position on a random following job .
The fuser is 1 year old and at 40% remaining life.
This started happening after a fuser upper error.

Probably a faulty Fuser. Try replacing the Fuser and see what happens.

Did the Fuser Upper Failure magically disappear? If it did, and you just kept on printing thinking it just "went away".... try a new fuser.

My emergency brake is stuck up in the on position and the release button is broken. I was shown once how to take it off by removing the cover and flipping something but I can't remember how to do it.

You need to release the lock cam that is engaged to the teeth of the park brake handle. The cam will have a spring on it and you must gently pull the brake handle upward while releasing and holding the cam away from the teeth

Ice maker released huge amounts of water into freezer?

The solenoid that allows water into the tray did not close and overfilled it. Corrosion can cause those units to get stuck in the open position with the result that you indicated. And if the solenoid is ok then the ice maker cam that turns off the power to the solenoid is not working as it is supposed to.

Is there any way to reset the fuser on the dell 3110/3115?

You might try taking out the fuser and replacing it. First of all, I'd let the machine sit for at least 30 minutes if you've recently printed anything, as it needs time to cool down. After that, press the button on the upper right side of the device to release the cover. Then release the chute gate to its upright position. Release the two tabs on each side of the fuser to unlock the unit and slowly pull it out of the machine. To replace it, push the fuser connectors into the slot firmly to make sure it is properly seated . Lastly, close both of the levers you opened earlier to remove the fuser. Make sure the chute is also lowered to the position it was in before. You can then close the front cover. Hopefully that will resolve all your printer issues. If not, you may need to contact a support technician. Good luck!

Tape is stuck

Tapes commonly get stuck in cam operated transports. The belt gets too lose and can not turn the attached cam gear- it is easy to release a tape- you open the unit up and remove the power first. Find the pulley that has a loose belt on it and turn it by finger- do not apply a lot of force just about what the belt would do. At some point the deck will open. Then you can remove the tape.

Xerox docucolor 12 system fault 15-362

Fault Code 15-362 - CAUTION: The Fuser Roll remains in a cammed-up position if power to the copier is interrupted while the copier is in use. The Fuser Roll will not be released from its position until the power is restored, the Power Switch is in the On position, and the Start button is pressed again. If the Fuser Roll remains in the cammed-up position for a prolonged period of time, copy quality defects will occur. To prevent damage to the Fuser Roll, switch the Power On as soon as possible after the power is restored, and make a copy of a document. If the machine is a DC 12LP send a print job from a workstation to prevent damage to the Fuser Roll.

How do I get the fuser out of the Canon PC 940?

Open the unit, remove the power supply cover in the back left by removing 1 ***** and releasing two hooks. Remove 2 *****s securing the fuser. The *****s are located just in front (inside) of the fuser.
Disconnect the fuser power cable and logic cables and then rotate the fuser up and toward the exit area. The fuser should just lift out.

You can then open the fuser by removing two *****s and releasing two release hooks. This should allow you enough released tension to remove your transfer. Be careful not to damage the fuser film.
