Question about Refrigerators
Fridgidare model FRS26ZRF 25.7 side by side, the freezer side is cooling down to 9-10 degrees, while the refrigerator side is up to as much as 65 degrees, doesn't sound like a compressor problem, but somethig else? The control switches on each side do not seem to have any effect on changing the temps up or down. I un plugged and found the vents on inside of freezer were froze up, allowed to thaw out, and the refrig side then cooled down to 47-48 degrees, while the freezer still is getting down to 10-14 last checked.
It could be the defrost system? When you allowed to thaw, did you check the evaporator? It could be frozen? It will take longer to thaw. Is the evaporator fan working? It and the compressor will not, when the box is in defrost. Is your defrost working? Are your door gaskets sealing properly? Are your doors aligned properly? Some things to check. Good luck.
