Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hello: My Panasonic BD35 blue ray sends me this message while reading a blue ray disc such as Valkyrie: It reads like this: "The parental level of this disc exceeds the limit set on this player. In order to play this disc you will need to refer to your player manufacturer's instruction guide. Please eject disc then use your guide to adjust the parental setting of your player then try again." I have no guide for any adjustments & have no idea what they're referring to. This player played super a day ago, and now it won't let me go beyond this message. Can you explain what this means. Have you or anyone you know ever encountered this before? I'm pulling my hair out and desparetly need some help. Thanks for ant help you can give me. Regards Jack

Its a parental control thing, can't watch adult content or material that is 18+ or younger.

My samsung blueray will not play blue ray discs. It says " this disc cannot be played, due to parental levels on player" the levels were never set diferent or changed since we got it a few months ago.

If it was working ok when new then do a factory reset:

1) Power on and remove any disc. 2) Press and hold the STOP (?) button on the front panel for 5 seconds or more.

• All settings will revert to the factory settings.
any user data stored in the BD player will be deleted.

CAN THE panasonic dmp bd35 PLAY 3D BLU-RAY DISKS

I understand the DMP BD35 is a normal blue ray disk player and not a 3D. Please see this manual if you want to be doubly sure.
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMPBD35-MUL.PDF

However something like a DMP BDT360 will play 3D blue ray discs and you can view it on a 3D ready TV.

Update disc read error

1) try to use disc cleaner, and execute for clean the OPU OPTICAL PICK UP, CONTaine the lasser beam and optical system
2) Try again.
3) if the problem persist, you must shure the any disc had been cleaner with special solution in vertical sense NOT in circle, in that way you must erased the information.
4) However if this NOT result, the OPU had been faulty. go to the repair shop TV.
God bless you

No disc

Hello,

has it been reading discs previously? If it has been reading discs previously, then it means the lens (laser) of your player is weak and that's why it cannot read disc.

You need to change the lens for it to be able to read disc again.

Good luck.

Check both for Optical

1) Check your DVD player make sure it is set to Dolby Digital or Optical Out or even AUTO (if applicable)
2) Check the Input source to the receiver say if you are using DVD on the receiver make sure the digital setting is set to either Optical or Auto
