Are ac and rear wiper lights flashing?

Under the dash on the passenger side is a round object that is the blower motor housing, with the key on and fan control switch turned on and tap the housing a few times. If that works its time for a new blower motor. If not check fuses and relays.

You possibly have a bad blower motor resistor. It is located behind the glove box. First check to see that there is power to the blower motor on the black wire at the blower motor. If there is power than ground the dark green wire at the blower motor. if the blower motor runs at full speed than the resistor is usually the problem.

you can also check for continuity between the dark green wire and the dark blue with grey wire at the resistor. Note where those two wires are in the connectors. remove the connectors from the resistor. check for continuity on the pins in the resistor where those two wires where attached. If there is no continuity than the thermo fuse has blown in the resistor and the resistor will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: locating heater blower motor resistor

the resistor is behind your glove box. open the box and push in the sides to release it and let it hang down...the resistor is right there. I didn't try to replace it, a friend did it, but the part was under $20.

SOURCE: 2001 Dodge Caravan heater fan not working on low or medium speeds

Hi ,The resistor is in the heater box located under the dash on the passenger side.It can be seen when you crawl under the dash and look up. It has two or three bolts on it. It will also have a plug connected to it, which has to be disconected.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Explorer XLT the Blower Fan only works on 4 and 3 Sp

Look under the dash on passenger side and just to the left of the blower motor housing you will see the 4WD control module.Remove the 2 screws holding the module and let it hang down and your resistors are behind this.Remove the 2 screws holding the resistors and remove.
Now I am assuming you have manual climate control and not electonic.

SOURCE: front blower motor on 2002 dodge grand caravan

it's the blower motor resistor , it's behind the glove compartment, just make sure you disconect the neg. for battery first, open the glove comp. and pull the rubber stops towars the center so you can let the glove comp. hang all the way to the floor , the resistor it's in front of you, disconect the two conectors there's one big with 6 0r 8 wires coming out and another with only two, take them out by pressing on the side of each one, remove it , put the new one on , conect the battery and your done. it's about $ 13.00 at o'riellys auto parts .

I hope this fix yor problem.

Caravans are notorious for having bad fan control modules. It is a little electronic box mounted on the inside frame rail on the driver's side just behind the radiator. You have to look from underneath. It can't be seen from the top.

My 2004 dodge caravan front heater speed control switch does not work on all settings.

The blower motor resistor is going bad. There is a fine wire in the resistor, when bad it will not work for all speeds of the motor.Differant size wires for the fan speeds in the resistor. God-Bless!

01- Dodge Caravan AC Heater Control it only works on high none of the speeds work when I rotate the switch from low to high. Is this a swith problem or a motor problem?

Most likely neither. The most common cause is that an electrical device called the blower motor resister block, has failed. This device provides all the slower speeds. It is generally mounted in the HVAC [Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning] box, very close to the blower motor. FYI, we mechanics call the fan motor inside the cabin the blower motor. The electric fan motor behind the radiator is called the cooling fan motor.
If the resistor block is OK, then you have either a bad fan speed switch or a melted electrical connector at that switch. 95% of the time, the resister block is the problem.

I have a question regarding my 2006 Dodge Stratus SXT. It appears that my air conditioning system will only work when the fan is turned up all the way. Any idea as to what might cause this?

So the fan only comes on when it's in the highest setting? If so the problem is likely your blower motor resistor. It is responsible for dropping voltage which determines the other fan speeds. The blower motor resitor is located under the passenger side of the dash near the blower motor and is readily available from most parts stores or your local dealer. Having trouble with the heater in my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. When the car is driving around the neighborhood or stopped at an intersection, only cold air blows. Only with extended constant acceleration,...

Yes . Your heater is actually not an Electrical Heater or a Separate Heating system . Actually if uses the same Radiator Line . When Radiator is heated up it is cooled down with radiator Fan and coolant . But when you use the heater function , this hot fluid is passed through a heating coil tube and blower fan is used to take that heat inside the car .
So I think now you understand , why you are not heated up in a short run . You really need to make the Engine + Radiator Warmer ( that is natuarlly happened when you run more) to get Warm air inside.

I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. Recently the front blower fan began to work intermittently. Sometimes it would work only on high, sometimes any speed, sometimes only when the rear blower was off. Now...

I think your headed in the right direction. At the front blower motor, the black wire is voltage and the dark green wire ground. As you can see the thermal fuse and resisters are on the ground circuit for blower motor , the speed controls are also on the ground circuit. Any motor that uses brushes, sometimes you can tap on the blower housing and it starts running, or driving down the road and you hit a bump and it takes off. Your jumper wires should have worked, in my opinion. If you wired it up backwards, I don't know if blower motor would run backwards, I never tried it. In the past, with faulty blower motors, I took it apart and looked at the brushes, wore down to the nub.

Have the blower motor resistor checked first. Losing several speeds on the blower and still working on one or more is normaly the resistor.
