SOURCE: Ice maker is not working

if you keep your hands out of the little beam slot on the paddel that is located on the left of the freezer and push it in the beam should shoot across to the reciever on the right and the light should stay on constant, that is if you have the switch on the right side turned on.

if it is turned on and the paddel is depressed and the light is still blinking the you need a beam kit part number 4389102

SOURCE: I have a Whirlpool side

Humm thats a good one, but I will try to help you out. First off you say the icemaker is new, so does that mean you bought the icemaker and installed it on the refrigerator. Or is the refrigerator new and it has an icemaker. If you installed the icemaker new on an older refrigerator you can have a few problems. Most likely the freezer is not getting cold enough for the icemaker to cycle on its own. Especially if you are peaking in every few minutes like I would be doing. The icemaker will start a new cycle when the temperatur hits 0 degrees. If the freezer is only getting to 5 degrees the icemaker will not cycle. In that case the problem would be with the refrigerator not the icemaker. If the freezer is getting to 0 degrees then you may want to take that icemaker back and get a replacement. Good luck and I hope I helped. [email protected]

SOURCE: whirlpool double door fridge side is not cooling,

sounds like a defrost problem. check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. if so, it is not defrosting like it should.

  • possible causes:
  1. bad defrost timer
  2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
  3. bad thermo switch in freezer

SOURCE: whirlpool gold ice maker problem

  • The refrigerator has a duel water valve, one for the ice-maker and one for the water dispenser (if equipped). The valve that the ice-maker relies on may be bad, or it could be the ice-maker itself.
  • Another thing that could cause it would be the temperatures in the freezer. The ice-maker will not call for water until it reaches under 15 degrees.
  • In addition, check the water tube behind the ice-maker to make sure it is not frozen, blocking more water from entering.
  • note: The water does not go to the ice-maker or thru the filter unless the ice-maker turns on the water valve.

Frigidaire Gallery Professionaly series broken ice maker

If you hook up the water to the fridge, that means you connected the water line to the 'Water Inlet Valve' of the machine. There should be a two wire harness connected to the water valve back. Look for that....

But please note following...

Some water valves in fridges are complicated with one harness for water dispenser line valve and another harness for ice maker water line.

Also seeing a disconnected wire harness does not mean it is for the water valve. May be most likely. But be careful sometime there are test wire harness for technicians to get power readings for components.

Whirlpool ice maker (626662) runs water in and freezes but will not eject ice cubes

Hello there
Here is some things for you to check ok
The motor turns the ejector blades which rotate until they contact the ice. Because the ice is frozen to the mold, it cannot be pushed out and the motor stalls. As the blades continue to press on the ice, the ice mold heater begins heating the mold. Once the ice loosens the ejector motor turns, the mold heater shuts off and the ice is pushed out.
so what i would first do is to check the mold heater to see if it is working
and if this is good than check the motor for the ejector blade and see if it is recieving power if it is have the motor itself checked to see if it is bad ok
I hope that this is very helpful for you there is still a lot more that can be checked but try these first ok
Best regards michael
