It sounds like it might be several things. Check the air discharge from the dryer where it exits your house, and be sure thet it is blowing strong. If it is not, you may have a partially plugged vent circuit. Don't forget to make sure the lint trap is clear. Unplug the dryer. Make sure that your vent hose and outlet ducting are clear of debris, with no kinks in the ducting. Take the duct outside and clear it out. (Hold it like a "U", so the contents won't spill). Check the inside rear of the dryer, where the duct connects, for debris, lint, etc..
If you have a strong air flow, you may have burned out heating elements. Again, with the dryer unplugged, gain access to the element leads and test for continuity, if you have a test meter and know how to use it. Replace any broken elements. Parts are readily available from most any appliance parts supply house. If the elements test good with adequate air flow, your problem is thermostat related.
Best regards,

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. An electric dryer uses two circuit breakers or fuses, and if only one of two is tripped or blown, the dryer might still run but not heat. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced.

2. Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Hotpoint aquarius will not heat water

Hi,

Although I do not know your particular machine I strongly suspect that the heater element is malfunctioning/broken. Even if it is a hot and cold fill it still requires the element to heat the water up to the correct temperature for the selected wash. If it is cold fill only it certainly needs the element all of the time- apart from rinses!
Sorry but it depends now on who you have at hand to repair as to your next step.

all dishwashers don't heat the water themselves. the water supply should be tied into the hot water line under your kitchen sink.

Hot point aquarius 1100 - does this have a heating element for cold water feed ? or does is need direct hot water feed ? (there is a inlet at back for both hot and cold so presume no heating element ?)

All Hotpoint washers have heater element regardless of whether they are cold fill only, or hot and cold fill.
if 2 connections at rear, then it is hot and cold fill, if only 1 connection, then it is cold fill only.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Hotpoint aquarius dwf30 dishwasher

you can plumb into hot but there are some snags
first hot water pressure is often a lot lower than cold so the machine may take a long time to fill
second if the water is too hot it will destroy the resin of the water softener and you will see brown marks on the crockery.
third it a bit uneconomical as you will use a lot of hot water
