Not enough info.
depends on where on the right it stops, if coming out of tray check tires to see if they are smooth.
If stopping on path could be a sensor

Paper getting stuck every time in Cannon 5220

First, this model is pretty new, if it is less than one year old, an authorized Canon Dealer will repair it for you at no cost.
There are areas of the paper path on that model that are hard to see, I recommend a dealer look at it anyway.

Cannot remove the paper jam

To clear the message Paper Jam from the display, follow the steps listed below:

NOTE: images shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

STEP A. Check for and remove any jammed paper or foreign objects in the machine

  1. Unplug the Brother machine from the power outlet.

Caution Before you unplug the machine from the power source, you can transfer your faxes that are stored in the memory to your PC or another fax machine so you will not lose any important messages. Refer to the Related FAQs in the end of the page for information. (only for applicable models)

  2. Lift the scanner cover using the plastic tabs or finger holds, located on the left and right side of the machine until it locks securely into the open position.

    jam_coveropen.gif

Caution DO NOT touch the encoder strip. The encoder strip is a clear plastic strip in front of the white vinyl band (outlined in red as shown in the picture below). If the encoder gets markings or debris on its surface, it may cause other problems.

  3. Verify the location of the print head. The print head is a black square object, located behind the encoder strip. The print head moves from left to right.

  4. Move the print head to the middle using your fingers.

Caution DO NOT touch the encoder strip (marked in red shown below).

  5. Check for and remove any ripped paper or a foreign object in the left corners or underneath the print head.

Hint The ripped paper may be very small. Using a flashlight will help you to find the ripped paper.

  6. Turn the machine around and open the Jam Clear Cover (1). Look inside the machine and remove any jammed paper.

  10. Place one of your hands under the LCD unit and into the opening of where the paper tray was.

  11. Using your hand, lift the front of the machine approximately 6 inches off the surface.

    jam_6inch.jpg

  12. Look inside the tray areas roof of the machine and a row of black rollers will be aligned across. See picture below.

    jam_exit_roller.jpg

  13. Look in-between each of the black exit rollers for a piece of stuck scrap paper. (A flash light may need to be used if you are having trouble locating the paper scrap).

    jam_paper_scrap_stuck.jpg

  14. Using a pair of tweezers, the paper scrap can be easily removed from the exit rollers.

  15. Place the machine gently down onto the surface.

    • If no paper scraps were found inside the machine, please check the paper in the tray. If the paper is slightly curled, the print head will catch the edge of the paper and tear it. To resolve the issue, the paper in the tray must be replaced and continue to STEP 16.

    • If paper scraps were found and removed from the machine, continue to STEP 16.

  16. Put the paper tray back into the machine.

  17. Plug the power cord back into the power outlet.

    • If the LCD displays the date and time, go to STEP D.

    • If LCD displays the message "Paper Jam" go to STEP B.

- If the print head is on the right side:

  1. Plug the power cord back into the power outlet and wait for the machine to stop making noises.

  2. Press the Stop/Exit key for approximately 5 seconds until the print head moves to the middle.

  3. Unplug the machine from the power outlet.

Caution Make sure to unplug the machine. The print head may move and injure your hand. Before you unplug the machine, you can transfer your faxes that are stored in the memory to your PC or another fax machine so you will not lose any important messages. Refer to the Related FAQs in the end of the page for information. (only for applicable models)

  4. Examine the right side of the machine where the print head had been positioned and underneath the print head and remove any pieces of ripped paper or foreign objects.

Tweezers may be used with caution to remove paper scraps or the foreign objects.

Hint The ripped paper may be very small. Using a flashlight will help you to find the ripped paper.

  5. After confirm the paper scraps or the foreign objects in the right corners or underneath the print head, go to STEP 6.

Everytime I try to print an envelope using my Canon imageRUNNER 1023iF I get an error message. I'm using a Microsoft Works Word Processing program. I have loaded the envelope tray and nothing happens...

To get rid of error, unplug machine.
Sett. the correct paper size ( size of envelope ), paper type (envelope ), both on printer properties ( when you prompted to print ) and on machine ( when you put envelope on bypass, machine auto ask you ).
Do not forget to tell printer that he needs to take paper from bypass ( printer properties )

Hope that helped

YAGNESH BHATT- EPSON LX-300+ PRINTER GETS STUCK WHILE PRINTING AND OFTEN PRINTS AT EXTREMELY RIGHT SIDE, PLEASE HELP ME?

There are quite some possiblities causing this problem:

1) The ribbon cartridge must be stuck in the inside causing a stuck up with the Timing belt gear mechanism. Remove the cartridge and try printing on plain paper.

2) One of the gears at the right and left of the belt is dislodged or dust must have accumulated casuing a jam.

3) The belt motor which is towards the right is dislodged sacrificing the tension that the belt needs.

Thank you!

Unfortunately you need to disassembly the hole printer to solve the problem. In most case the object who block the paper is under the withe rollers and you can't see it from above.

Thats on the drum, time for a new cartridge.  The equial distance of the marks on the right side of the page point to the drum  which I presume is built into the toner cartidge.

Re: Paper Jam

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Hi I have HP PSC1610 printer-copier-scanner. 90% of all my printing I do in "FastDraft" Paper Quality. The default is in "Normal" Paper Quality and I have to change the settings each time I print. I would...

When you print from the Microsoft Word and while printing you change the Printer Properties and Print Quality to FastDraft
Everytime you close the window the setting gets reset and again when you start, you have to do the settings.

The Solution you are looking out is
Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Printer and Faxes
There you choose the your Default Printer HP 1610 >> Right Click
and Click Properties
Then you choose Printing Preferences and Make Choose FastDraft

This setting will remain as your default setting now
So whne you have to Print Normal Mode
You need to change the Properties from Microsoft Word.
and it will reset everytime you close MS Word.
Cause your Default setting then is "FastDraft"

I hope this solves your problem
all the best

Brother printer, paper inside, but I do not see paper inside.

PAPER JAMMED INSIDE THE MFC

1. Remove the Jam Clear Cover located in the back of the machine..
Squeeze the plastic tabs located on the right and left side of the cover
and pull the cover off.

2. Remove any paper you can see jammed in the machine. If you cannot
remove the jammed paper from the back of the unit follow the in
structions listed below for reinserting the cover and then continue to Step 4.

3. Re-insert the Jam Clear Cover. The top of the cover has a slotted
opening in the center approximately 1/4 inch wide. Hold the cover by the
plastic tabs located in the front of the cover on the right and left side and insert the cover into the opening until it securely
clicks intoplace (both sides).

4. Open the scanner cover by pulling up on the lower right corner of the
cover until it locks into place.

5. Remove the jammed paper. If the paper is jammed underneath the print
head, unplug the machine from the AC power outlet. Gently move the
printhead to the far right side of the machine (the "home" position) and
then remove the jammed paper.

6. Lift the scanner cover to release the lock and then gently push the
scanner cover support down and close the scanner cover.

To test print the Help List by pressing Menu/Set, 6 (Print Reports), 1
(Help List) and then Black Start. The Help list should begin printing.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
