Question about Air Tools & Compressors
I have a sears 1.5 hp compressor model # 106/153981. On the sears site they refer to it as an air compressor paint sprayer - but it is an air compressor. The sears site show a part list, but they do not offer the manual. The unit dates to about 1965.
The unit can be pwered by either 110v or 220v. I would like to re-wire the unit to use 220v, however in looking at the unit I am not clear on how to do it.
I can help you. The motor name plate will give you the connections for the different voltage if it is a 'dual voltage' motor. Check the name plate on the motor.
May I ask why you want to change it. Contrary to popular belief, It won't make it cheaper to run.
